Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
Not particularly pleased about this, means very little chance of the combative, physical CM we need coming in. Cheap though so no doubt that's the driver for it.

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
Marsh is OK - skilful but lightweight / small
Seems like another safety first and easy to make decision by RE / ML
I'm staring to wonder whether the whole strategy of ML is the avoidance of risk / anxiety / stress - which ironically will lead to massive anxiety / stress if we are in the bottom 4 by the start of April
We are still crying out for a box to box combative midfielder - how are these guys so myopic!

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
He's meant to be the answer to that problem, we've already got Wright / Clay / Gorman in the same role, Marsh just adds another name to the list. Four CMs and not one can control the midfield.

I'll never forget that goal he scored against WBA in the League Cup Final.

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
You pleased with keeping the same midfield that's losing us games consistently? Not even worth expending the energy for meltdowns, more of a sarcastic eye-roll by now

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
Do you really think this?
Heโs totally underwhelming. Same as Clay and Wright. If I had the opportunity to get rid of any of those 3, or Gorman, and bring in a better replacement then Iโd jump at the chance.
Hector must be fuming.

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
Brilliant news shows fight, doesnโt shy away from a tackle and is great cover at right back (better than Ling)!

Who is better? Heโs no better than Clay or Wright. Thatโs the issue here.Allways Westside wrote: โMon Jan 06, 2020 7:55 pm Same things coming up again, height etc, been watching football a long time,as far as I am concerned he is a good little player,so who is stronger in our mid field, who passes better ? would like to know, who moves into space for him to pass to ?

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
This a bloody awful decision
this smacks of dross is here to stay
plus the goalie saying i would not have signed if it were not for dross
And another sick note possibly on the way from newcastle
Imagine the interview - let me do the job for 18 months and if I am no good i will happy go back to my coaching position - oh thank you so much dross - and if you change your mind again please let us know
by the way its easy to disappear when things aint working just ask Webb ling mcanuff and essex ( i mean kent )
what a joke this is

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
He's played as a holding midfielder, a central midfielder and a right back.
Let him settle on one role within our team. He is a good player, he has bags of potential and I like the fact he is willing to get stuck in, it's a shame a few more dont try putting a tackle in. He gets his head up and looks for the pass, never shrieks from a challenge and with a bit of stability within his role and those around him he will blossom even further.
I'm pleased he has resigned, I like him. Good luck George hopefully you can help to drive the team forwards to safety.

Re: MARSH EXTENDS LOAN DEAL
Zain Westbrooke was pretty poor for us two seasons ago (in National League), but is now being followed by a number of Championship Clubs.
Players can improve. Marsh is young and will get better.

Marsh will get better and he will have a career higher than league 2 that's for sure.
