Worrying stat
Didn't realise this but we only have 1 more point than at the same stage (02/02/17) of the season when we were relegated out of the football league in 2016-17.

Re: Worrying stat
Our form is poor, but whichever form table I look at, we are not bottom of it, and no extrapolation of current form of all teams would have us finishing bottom. Evidence would therefore suggest that it is doubtful that we will be relegated.
However that doesn’t imply that things are good and us supporters are happy, for they and we in the main aren’t, and the issues need addressing urgently. It’s crying out for the manager’s position to be sorted - now would be good – to give the manager a run to the end of the season, ideally with some decent input to the January transfer window, so come the summer things will feel like they are improving, and we may be able to look ahead to next season with optimism. We have to get out of the malaise we are in right now.

Re: Worrying stat
What that doesn't take into account is the teams below us making active strides to improve their squads and most have changed managers too. Meanwhile we're going backwards.EastDerehamO wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 1:34 pm Our form is poor, but whichever form table I look at, we are not bottom of it, and no extrapolation of current form of all teams would have us finishing bottom. Our best chance of confirmed safety is Macclesfield going bust, says it all really.

Re: Worrying stat
Very sad really but I think Kent and Nigel are ambitious but luckily this season is a kind of a “free hit” in that only one team goes down.
If we can’t finish above Stevenage and Morecambe then we probably deserve to be relegated.
This month will be pivotal to whether we get dragged into a relegation battle or manage to pull clear.
Like East DerehamO I honestly don’t see us going down but it’s not to say we won’t unless changes are made and a proper Manager appointed.

Are those clowns Embleton, Ling and Teague aware of this? I don't think so !

Yes & Senior Players were jetisoned at a rate of knots.Article_50 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 5:08 pm "Didn't realise this but we only have 1 more point than at the same stage (02/02/17) of the season when we were relegated out of the football league in 2016-17"

We are bringing Senior players in to stave off any threat

Re: Worrying stat
And you didn't take into account improving our team/squad, which we did today. Couple more signings to upgrade our weakest positions and we'll be in much better shape.gshaw wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:41 pmWhat that doesn't take into account is the teams below us making active strides to improve their squads and most have changed managers too. Re: Worrying stat
It's the couple more I have precious little faith in. The last Embleton interview pretty much confirmed the keeper but he was very non-committal on any others.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:03 pmAnd you didn't take into account improving our team/squad, which we did today. Let's also remember Ling has failed to address the CM issue in 3 previous transfer windows so I'm not holding my breath for a Dawson / Vincelot character to come in.

Re: Worrying stat
Which is the role that has needed an upgrade the most for the longest and he brings in a Keeper first. You can’t make this stuff up, unbelievable Jeff.

Re: Worrying stat
The keeper has needed an upgrade for just as long.
And in case you hadn’t noticed, Brill is our injured for the rest of the season. It’s ridiculous to criticise the club for bringing another one in.

Re: Worrying stat
Not critiquing one little bit, just saying centre midfield is where we are losing game after game or not allowing us to get on top of others and drawing games we should win. That should be the priority in my eyes.
I don’t know anything about the new keeper other than what I’ve read on wiki however, for both Spurs and Liverpool to sign him, he must have something about him. This has the potential to be a good signing.
