Vote of confidence
So after another dire result let's put this in raw numbers. Yes or No do you have confidence in Embleton to turn this around and manage the club?
It seems Ling & co are hell bent on giving him the role in spite of on-pitch performances so be interested to see how many back the plan.

Re: Vote of confidence
What confidence in the puppetmaster Ling do you have? He put Ross there - unfairly IMHO.

Re: Vote of confidence
Agree, not Ross’ fault he’s been placed in this position.
The biggest underperformance on a whole range of issues is by Martin Ling.
Imo, ML should resign due to
CF fiasco
RE fiasco
Poor player recruitment
Ridiculous contract extensions for Brill, Coulson and SL.
Wasted contract extension on JM.

Do it because it would be a big NO for Ling as well.gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:14 pmNone, possibly do another poll for DoF afterDisoriented wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:13 pm What confidence in the puppetmaster Ling do you have? He put Ross there - unfairly IMHO.

Re: Vote of confidence
Agreed. Nothing against Ross personally because we all know he's a top bloke but he's not manager material , he's a coach.

Re: Vote of confidence
We are now right amongst the basket cases at the bottom of the Football League.
Nigel, Kent, is this where you think Leyton Orient belong?
Please act soon to get an experienced manager, with the freedom and budget to sort this mess out.
Thank you

Re: Vote of confidence
Already been established we're short of quality there. However the tactics and team selections are making that problem even worse.
Re: Vote of confidence
I still have faith he will get us at least 23rd, thanks to other sides helping us out.
Longer term, I don't think he is the right man to lead us and is out of his depth. As a youth coach he has a really impressive CV and could get a job at many clubs (he has had roles at Premiership sides). As a Football League manager he is an imposter as he is only here because of Ling, and wouldn't get a job anywhere else. Why not just play to his strengths and give him a role at the club he will be good at?
I have no real faith that Ling will identify the players we need in January, ship out unwanted players in enough quantities or get a manager who would be envy of all other League 2 sides.

Don’t call him an imposter for God’s sake unless you want to be ducking out the way of flying chewing gum!eagwgw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 7:13 pm I still have faith he will get us at least 23rd, thanks to other sides helping us out.

Re: Vote of confidence
I was listening to radio London prior to the game and they cut to Dave victor and they were discussing a conversation Dave has had with ling. Dave said ling has once again said they are waiting on Ross to commit and that everyone behind the scenes wants him to take the job. Dave went on to say he asked him about the role after the last game and Ross as we know was very non committal about taking on the job. He then quantified what ling has said by saying however he needs to start getting results.
Make of that what you will.

If true, it is further evidence of the incompetence and indecision of Martin Ling.Thor wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 8:17 pm I was listening to radio London prior to the game and they cut to Dave victor and they were discussing a conversation Dave has had with ling.
