Chelsea have announced losses of £96m for the last financial year, blaming this on severance pay and not qualifying for the champions league. I’ve not studied their accounts and I’ve no reason to prove Brice buck is lying, but if that’s the costs of missing out on CL football then that could be akin to clubs falling out the premier league. Seems dangerous to me.
The loss also is just inside the amount allowed under ffp, plus it does not account for Hazards and Moratas transfer which are initially circa £90m and £60m each.

Re: Chelsea Financial Loss
What it demonstrates is how crazy football at the top level has become. Clubs have gone out of business and are struggling to stay in business with losses of a tenth of that number and it’s a casual thing to the, to lose such a huge number.
Football will implode.

Yeah, I feel really sorry for them. It's not as if it's all of their own making is it?
Re: Chelsea Financial Loss
CL revenue was £164.3m in their last accounts, maybe more this year.
But yeah they probably have people earning £1m+ in their squad nobody has even heard of.
On £400-500m turnover we are actually more unsustainable than they are considering we are losing £1m a year and Abramovich is richer than Travis.
With that sort of club the cash flows are such that there will be rich Arabs or Chinese in the wings if Roman had to sell. If we got into trouble again I ain't sure if there is another Travis out there.
