Im not sure Ross will ever be a decent manager. Talk isnt enough unfortunately. For example, all Ross's substitutions are reactive, not proactive, so if he sees we are 1 up with 15mins to go, he will react by taking off a midfielder and replacing him with a defender, or take off a striker and replacing him with a midfielder.
Last Sunday, it was obvious Angol for reasons known to himself, didnt seem too interested......the proactive thing to have done around 60 mins, was to replace him with Harrold, as a positive substitution, but it never came into Ross's thinking, and Angol played for the full 95 mins
Ross is a lovely guy, no doubt about that, but as most of us already know, he isnt manager material, and probably never will be.
On the basis, that if Macclesfield go under ( Nigel thinks they will), then there will be no relegation this season from league 2, I believe the owners will sort the manager situation out in the summer, though season ticket sales will fall through the floor for next season

Moyes (56) has more than 900 games as a manager, while Ross (38) has been a caretaker coach in 24 games.

I haven`t got clue whether Ross is going to be a good manager/coach, but isn`t it a bit early to write him off?

I don't really have a problem with Ross, more the whole interim stuff. I don't feel it's doing anyone any favours now. His interviews are nothing quotes, he can't really say much else apart from not commit either way.

If the club believes in him, just give it him til end o' season and he should be appraised in the same ways as any other manager and replaced if not good enough.

Look at Darrell Clarke's last interview and compare that with some of Ross's. One guy knows he could be fired if results are bad, the other knows he's still in a job whatever happens. Even if the next manager is a disaster and is sacked after a month, he'll be back in the caretaker role with no pressure, repeat ad infinitum.

The last time Ross stepped down we played with a bit of freedom, which is not so evident this time. The last game was just poor tactics, the second worst defence in the League trying to defend a 1-0 for 85 minutes was unlikely to end well.

His interviews are 'nothing quotes' simply because he is inexperienced, not only in football, but life in general.
Like Fletcher, his summaries seem contrived. Ross, you appear to be a nice fellow and all that, but I don't think the job is for you - not at this moment in time, anyway.

Looks like it’s another prediction travis has got wrong. The players have been paid and the club is being taken over by les sealys son. Another team who will finish above us despite all their problems this season.
