But the real question is, would he fight you on a match day?

Re: Macauley Bonne
But do you think you could beat Bonne up?
What if he sort of, but actually didn’t really at all apart from in your deranged mind, insult your dad on a message board? Would you beat him up then?

Re: Macauley Bonne
What isn’t working is your sad attempt at trying to draw me into a “I’ll fight you in real life” Argument.
You’ve realised that you’ve made a fool of yourself giving it the “meet you at the next home game” line and are now desperately trying to move on.
Unbelievable, Jeff.

Re: Macauley Bonne
There's no way we've discussed new deals with the likes of Brill, Coulson and Ling but not Ekpiteta. No way in the world. Think Kent Teague also confirmed he'd turned down offers a few months ago.
The fact Ekpiteta hasn't signed a new contract is because at present he doesn't want to, for whatever reason that is. No doubt we'll make at least another offer unless he has told us he doesn't want to renew at Orient or his wage demands are well out of whack.

I’m pretty sure he got injured relatively badly a month or so ago. Can’t remember what but he was starting every week before that

Plus Lyle Taylor is back and Macca won’t get in front of him, if they could play together I don’t know as I don’t think either has been fit at that same time together.

Re: Macauley Bonne
Hamstring injuries do eventually heal, better that than bad knee or ankle injury. Bonne is one of my all time favourite Os forwards. The hardest working central striker I have seen at the club. Charlton got the deal of the century in getting him for a mere £200,000 !Lovejoy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 7:22 pm Thanks, I have found out now, he has a hamstring injury.

Are hamstring injuries becoming more common Sid? O's have had their share over the past couple of seasons.

Re: Macauley Bonne
Well I suppose the human body is much the same as it always was so I should imagine much the same throughout the years. As the players get older, as a rule, injuries more likely to happen to players when they get to their late twenties and 30s, muscles, joints and reaction times change. We don't bounce back from injury as quickly as we did when young. I know that Bobby Charlton suffered from more and more various muscle strains etc as he got older, so much so that it brought about him deciding to retire. On the other hand, Stanley Mathews had his own personalized strict fitness training schedule and diet plan, all of which helped him to keep playing in the English league football until he was 50 years old !
Good article here about Stanley Mathews.
