FOR THE LOVE OF THE LITTLE BABY JESUS, PLEASE MAKE THIS MIND-NUMBING PEDANTRY STOP!
It's not peasantry at all, it's the heart of the issue re Spurs fans.
If a Spurs fan calms himself a Yid, how is that Racist?
He is talking about himself.
In the same way some black people use the N word to describe themselves. It's not possible to be racist about yourself
It's not the same way that black people use the N word at all.
You seem to be concluding that Spurs fans are Jewish. That's obviously not the case.
I know you're just trying to be contrary/pedantic and it's not badly intended, presumably just done out of boredom, but by trying to play your silly games around these sensitive issues you're coming across as bit of a ****. Maybe reconsider if that's how you want to appear?
You are maki g things up. I have not concluded anything of the sort.
Simple question
How can anyone be racist against themselves
No mention of Jews, Yids, football etc. Its a straightforward question.
How can someone be racist against themselves
I am not saying you cant be racist against others, because that is nonsense position.
Tottenham also has black players. If the idea was to put Chelsea players off their game then surely that would put their own players off as well . Amongst other things, what thick bastards those Spurs fans must be .

So you agree that the Spurs fans chanting the Y*d word are being anti Semitic? Good.

No, because I have never said that. Indeed I haven't commented an opinion other than to question how somebody can be racist against themselves

Spurs instigated a poll akong its supporters recently sons to determine their feelings concerning the chants that they make and song about.
Hes a link to the findings, it's not as clear cut as one might think it is or was.
Sorry redo, what i was trying to convey but failed was the perception that the fans think its ok to sing etc whereas the poll suggests it's the other way round.
As I said , the spurs thing is more problematic. It started with arsenal fans chanting yid insults at spurs supporters, clearly unacceptable and the spurs supporters adopted that as a defence mechanism in support of their Jewish supporters. I don’t have a problem with that. Far worse was the hissing noises made when spurs played at certain away grounds.
Upminster, your school sounds idilc, mine was nothing like that. Neither of my schools were like that, when disagreements occurred I was called a Jew boy ( which to me is the biggest insult, far worse than yid), or dirty Jew. I never let an insult go without a fight , and it seemed I was fighting every day.
I have come across older generations who use the description ‘Jew boy’ , not even realising how insulting it is, and I guess that you can only truly understand any form of racial insults if you are on the receiving end of it.
Making monkey noises to a black person is despicable. End of.
Anti-semitism was pretty widespread when I was at school. Most saw it as a bit of fun but didn't really think about the impact that it had on the very small number of Jewish kids.
Upminster, I went to Newport road in Leyton and then Tom hood in Wanstead , and like you I was not unpopular, I guess I liked to be the class comedian and represented the school and district at football, and was a half decent boxer, winning the federation of boys clubs title, but It didn’t stop the insults when things got confrontational.

Hissing noises? Wtf, who does that kind of sh*t?
Lots of people did. Are you suggesting it didnt/doesn’t happen?
