Boris could always just go to jail and become a so called Brexit Martyr, wouldnt put it passed him, as he would be out on bail, probably. Looking to play the vicrim and to rally round the pro Brexiteers. Just a thought. He doesn't seem to have many options. His plan was for a general election even though he was saying "we are not looking for a general election". Looks like his bluff was well and truly called. I have no sympathy for him or anybody around him especially Rasputtin.
If he thinks Mr Mob boss in US is going to be able to help him out, me doesn't think so. He could be toast fairly shortly but he is a slippery vindictive eel that's never been properly held to account over the years. He will threaten to take many down with him or cut a deal to survive and they brush alot under the carpet. Who is the biggest threat to national security Trump or Boris?

I will take that as a compliment from a Brexiteer, who knew what they were voting for, how easy it was going to be, who factored in the Irish issue, all this extra money for the NHS, UK was going to be overrun by migrants especially from new members states like Turkey (No Chance).point nine one eight wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 9:15 pmIt's all civil matters not criminal one's. no body goes to jail or pass go and collect the two hundred smackers.RoryRocks wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 12:16 pm Boris could always just go to jail and become a so called Brexit Martyr, wouldnt put it passed him, as he would be out on bail, probably. Do you know who loves this Brexit chaos, Putin. He loves causing division in western democracies. Look at the mess he has helped create in the US. Russia has infiltrated the NRA, many right wing groupings and the Republican party. Many despots worldwide want to weaken Europe as they know the EU will stand up and will condemn their human rights abuses.
You can't even get passed the first step and that's supposed to be the easy part.

What was so wrong with being in the EU and helping to change policies from within? Blaming May for British Colonialisation of Ireland is a stretch too far.
To leave with a no deal your going to have to put together a pro brexit coalition after the next General Election that won't happen until after Oct 31st, you know the day Boris promised that UK is definitely leaving.
The Tories may not even be in Government from next week.

I'm not surprised that Brexit will be cancelled, just that it's taken this long.
Also, how are the Tories 12% ahead in the polls?

As things currently stand Britain leaves the EU on 31 October.
For that not to happen, Britain has to ask for an extension to Article 50 ( Benn Act requires PM to ask for this)
AND
All the remaining 27 EU States must agree to an extension of Article 50
The Benn Act cannot compel the EU to grant an extension. So unless the EU change their position which is Article 50 expires on 31 October, then Britain leaves then irrespective of an election the UK or not.

Re: Is Dominic Cummings the most reprehensible figure in British politics?
Dominc Cummings is the most reprehensible figure in British Politics if you are a Labour supporting remainer ( and therefore in a significant minority of the country who have now lost elections in 2010,2015,2017 and 2019 and a referendum in 2016).
Dominic Cummings is one of the most successful figures in recent British Politics, having masterminded inter alia the 2016 referendum success, BJ's leadership campaign and the 2019 General Election.
The results speak for themselves. He is a winner ( at present)

What a country we have when the biggest winner is the organiser of a campaign based on lies and vilification. I hope you are happy with it.

Tbf, I don’t think Labour (or Corbyn) can be accused of that. His biggest fib was probably saying he watched the Queen’s Xmas Day speech. Maybe they should have gone in dirtier and played the man, not the ball - but it didn’t help the “winning here” Libs much.

Now that really is offensive, disappointed yes, upset no. Thats the democracy we have. As to your line above, where is there any evidence for it?
