I'd expect the situation is the the board are hoping that we win at least one game, preferably 2 before Jan 2.... in that case we could be as much as 9 or 10 points and goal difference clear of the bottom spot, thereby giving Ross the job until the end of the season they can claim they backed him all along, but in reality the risk would be tiny.
Short of a great run and us finishing in the top half I can't see why his job would be extended past the summer. Next year I am sure the aspirations will be to be near the play-offs, if not in them.
Getting 1 point from the Cambridge, Colchester and Newport games and it's unthinkable we could either back Ross (whose only decent run of results came after he announced he was going), or get an experiment like Fletcher.
I certainly hope that we are not looking inwardly for the manager's job. What the club, players and fans need, desperately,
is an experienced manager with some fresh ideas and a bit of drive to carry them through. Sadly, Embleton does not fit this
criteria.
Not being funny but i dont want ross or webb or jobi as manager we need to get somone in the building who has done well in the lower league as manager and not the cheap way to do it
Almost certain it'll be Embleton. Seems bizarre to give it to him permanently on such poor results, if it's not external better to wait until end of the season imo.
My guess is that Jobi will be made manager . Reasons:-
Not likely to play again (thus making this now likely)
Good age for it
Will be respected by players
Has coaching badges (?)
Good character / much liked around the club and with fans
TV pundit - so already in the "space"
Knows the squad inside out
Great / long playing career - at all levels
Has been on field captain (I believe)
International experience (32 caps)
Seems to love Orient
Good use of his salary (we are already paying him)
Probably acceptable to Ross and Danny (I think)
He will be supported by Ross and Danny
I'd be really amazed if it didn't happen - so can now be shot down!

I just don't see any justification for him as the next manager at all. Just how quickly will the fans start digging him out
if he is made manager and the results are not good, pretty quickly I would think. This matey clique is getting a tad tiresome
now.
Other than the four game streak we had before fletch took over RE has been poor, leading a poor team by the standards of his own coaching. We look really bad right now and I really do fear for us should he be appointed, he is not cut out for the role.
If he is appointed then ling is just covering his own arse, and if that’s the case then he needs to go straight away.
I’m getting fed up with the way the football side of this club is currently being run and I have zero confidence in it.
Think very carefully Mr Travis and Mr Teague, if this happens judgement will be passed on you both.

Jobs for the boys. Can we get any more mis-managed if we really tried?
Really??
To get promoted from any league you need a good management team and not just a good manager. Was getting promoted lucky?
The whole turnaround was in Justin's image, the whole approach, style of play and belief in the squad came from him. Before JE came in Embleton had a go and didn't make any difference to the results. As even Ling said it's a very, very different job being a coach compared with being a manager.
Personally I think Embleton is already signed and sealed on the contract front, club is just waiting for a decent result or two to pop up then they'll use it as justification... "Ross has turned it around and we can see progress moving forward" or words to that effect.
Surely if they were going to give it to dw or jm they'd have got the interim gig. Re is nailed on for this, so we're gonna bob along at the bottom all season

I don't think JM had his coaching badges at the time , has he got them now ?.
What with the very sad lost of justin i know that the owners went for the cheap option and bye not appointing a new manager after justin passed out this should have been done ages ago but like i said before ling is as much at foult as the owners but the club needs to move forward but only with a great manager please god not jobi not webb and not ross we would like to go forward and not back
