If Orient win today, how many think its because Ross is a better manager or that he has a near full squad to choose from. If it's the latter should the club have given cf longer in the job

Don't know but all this uncertainty with Ross is not helping the cause. It appears as though the owners want him as permanent but he's not sure. If he's not sure we cant wait too long to appoint another manager.

Not sure about not being sure, I’m not sure that he’s good enough to be a number 1.

Good post UpminsterO, all true facts.
Have to agree something definitely underlying the way CF was treated & shafted out so soon.
Even in Ross's recent interview about the managerial situation he was having a few swipes at CF with his terminology of ' theres now a better spirit ' and ' the flatness which they had has gone'.
Ross & the players now need to show that CF was wrong to suggest to replace some of them which I think was the main issue.
He has a full squad to choose from & hopefully having noth Angol & Wilkinson back will make a difference.
But ultimately I think we need a new manager who will make his own decisions because I think Ross isn't strong enough to do so as that will mean upsetting some of his mates if it means dropping them.
We will see? Coyos

CF was shafted to protect Ling’s position.

Pretty easy really.

CF signed his own death warrant by losing to Maldon in the FA Cup.

The negativity after that result was too much.

Feel sorry for the bloke. Just think, during his incredibly short tenure his only striker options were Harold and Alabi.

The whole situation makes the club look bad.

There's definitely something off with the whole situation. If CF had such an issue with people management and his communication skills that should've been picked up at interview stage.

Seems more like he wanted to implement his ideas very quickly and the changes didn't go down well with existing staff. Not surprising given CF didn't rate a lot of them. His views on the lack of fitness in the squad has definitely been proven correct so was he that far wrong?

In the end it seems the management were left with a choice of booting CF or booting 7 players, Webb and Embleton. They chose the latter, perhaps as much for financial reasons as football (if not more so)

The overall sentiment that comes out of this is results on pitch appear to be secondary to keeping the DoF, coaching setup and senior players happy. That doesn't sit well for me and the more Ling in particular speaks about it the less convincing it seems.

No one at the club comes out well from it. The players seemed to down tools to lose the way they did against Maldon and that's unforgivable if it were the case.

Still waiting for them to pick their tools back up

Read this in a DoF accent...

Imagine you had a toolbox, but you can't use it anymore and had to get a new one but after you bought it you realised some of the tools don't fit and you can't find your 10mm socket.

You can't do your work well as some of the tools aren't working right so you have to get a new toolbox but before you buy it this time you borrow one for a while, right now we're trying to get all the tools to fit back in their proper places and start doing the work right again.

I never seen a thread before where I have agreed with so many of the comments.

The recent goings on at the club have left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Do you know what I absolutely agree with you. So much optimism, so much hope and belief and it’s starting to slip and fade away.
