This is one of my favourite articles of the year: a romp through philosophical creeds as applied to a batsmen walking (or not) in cricket. It could equally be applied to diving or other cheating in football, lying and selective thruths in politics that so annoys all us gammons and snowflakes (depending on what “team” you support). And as a bonus some of you numpties might actually learn something about the basics of ethics & morality

Re: Philosophy Corner
Brilliant cricketbats and wooly headed thinking. Two of my personal favourites.

Re: Philosophy Corner
That is a really good read. Think I will read it again.
Me, walk? Not a chance. That tingle could have been the bat catching the pads, a slight movement in the box, who knows. Its up to the umpires not me to decide.
Anyway, if it was a nick then it balances out the odd occasion when you were unfairly dismissed.

All this holier than thou stuff gets on my tits. Hypocrisy in action.
Next time at Brisbane Road will you be calling for a penalty for the opposition when you feel it was. Nah, just hoping the ref don’t give it like me.
