The thread has proved my point in so many ways.

Its a shame people are not able to disagree on a topic without resorting to personal insults from the outset. Its made even worse by the fact the personal insults in most cases are about someone you have never met before.

Funny how you’re all about accepting opinions unless the opinion is that you’re a hypocritical troll.

Suddenly you’re not so keen on hearing everybody out and slip immediately into your martyr mode.

The worst part is that you genuinely seem to believe that people can’t see what you’re all about.

It seems that its no longer possible on here, or in the real world for people to respect but disagree with others views.

Adult debate and discussion no longer seems to exist and few people seem to be prepared to admit that anything someone with an opposing view has said/proposed/ done is reasonable.

We are int oa sad and dangerous polarised state of affairs. Its ironic that back in the 1970s when for example labour relations were far worse, there wasn't the same level ofantaganonism...probably because in those days debate, if at all was face to face, not hidden behind some keyboard abusing some faceless opponent

I think I'm pretty respectful on here, with the occasional sly dig at people (on both the left and the right) who make ridiculous comments.
