Here is a link to the report on the manifesto pledges of the main parties. It is really a good read although lengthy. One thing is for sure they're all lying to us! What it does do is highlight the positives and negatives and the likely outcomes to the announced policies.

It's interesting that the tories spending plans since the last election is on a par with what labour suggested and not in line with their manifesto.

The IFS suggests whoever is in power will in all likelihood be under the same conditions as the costings don't match the pledges.

One thing is for sure, change is coming.

Another good article. What the IFS done is look at the reality of what they are saying rather than looking at what might happen if thi or that happened.

Between the two viewpoints is a lot of points to think about.

You make it sound like the IFS has made no assumptions in their analysis. Have they?
