We envy them only in the way that FGR haven't had a 49 year old championship-winning manager die six weeks after lifting the trophy.

Hardly "stable".
They're only where they are due to a rich benefactor. If he was to pull out, players would leave, and their top of the table average home attendance average of 2,500 would drop through the floor.
They'd be back in the National in two years.

I wouldn't want the O's players to fall over at the slightest touch and make out like they had had their leg broken in five places like they did against us. I also wouldn't like a lying and abusive manager like Cooper. If we had to be like that to be in FGR's position, I don't think I would be a season ticket holder. So no, I don't envy their league position.

Many clubs, us included, survive because of rich benefactors. But their attendance, like Salford, tells a tale. Even in our dark days we never dropped as low as their nigh regarding attendances. 2.5k when top of the table is pretty poor. I don’t envy them at all. I can't believe how many of our fans turn a blind eye to Brophy's diving!DuvB wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 4:36 pmI wouldn't want the O's players to fall over at the slightest touch and make out like they had had their leg broken in five places like they did against us. Also, I didn't say any of that. Just that I'm envious that we aren't 2nd.
