What. The. Actual. F U C K.
Some ex player says one full back can't defend to save his life, the club goes into meltdown, the radio people brown nose them and apologise.
The current DOF says another full back is not a footballer. And that's ok.

What do you expect. I appreciate the difficulties working with your son but there is no doubt Sam gets favourable treatment.RedO wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 10:35 pm Pauses - "Myles needs to learn how to become a footballer".

Just heard this. Absolutely shocking. Why would Judd push himself on when Sam Ling gets the nod regardless of form?RedO wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 10:35 pm Pauses - "Myles needs to learn how to become a footballer".

If I was Teague and Travis, I'd stop Ling from talking to anyone. He's admitted to tapping his son up and slagged Myles Judd off in the same interview.

Re: **MARTIN LING EXCLUSIVE**
ML does himself no favours in that segment concerning Juddy. Most on here believe that SL gets favourable treatment, then to hear the dof say what he’s said shows clearly that Judd is disadvantaged in trying to win a place in the team fairly.
As Redo says, Dickinson gets slaughter for giving his opinion and her here’s the top football man in the club giving a similar opinion and nothing gets said.
There’s two levels in our club quite clearly and Judd needs to get the lings onside quickly if he’s ever to get back in the team cos it’s quite clear he’s not playing in a level field.

Re: **MARTIN LING EXCLUSIVE**
I thought the comparison between the reaction to Dickinson comments and ML comments was a good spot by RedO. If ever you need an example of an unlevel playing field there it is. And from the Boss himself.Thor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:10 am ML does himself no favours in that segment concerning Juddy. Tip for Ling. Go talk to Travis and ask him to explain a positive and inclusive culture again. Then listen to these comments as an example of exclusion. If I were Juddy listening to that I would not feel part of the team, just a spare part with no chance of ever getting into the team. Demoralising.

Wonder if we could get Andrew Neil to interview Ling. Actually ask difficult questions. That would be a good listen.

Add that to Embleton’s comments about Ogie a few weeks ago (and lack of playing time) and Sotiriou being sent on loan. I suppose the culture at the club the board and Ling keep going on about is against young players.dOh Nut wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:09 amI thought the comparison between the reaction to Dickinson comments and ML comments was a good spot by RedO. Is anyone surprised that Myles isn't completely demoralised by the way he's been and is being treated?

1. Who said the budget was a barrier to appointing an experienced manager?
2. Perhaps the owners dont want to deal with it? You think destabilising 'review' of everybody by a new person is a good idea?
3. All the other thick people agree with you.

Re: **MARTIN LING EXCLUSIVE**
Good point - having 3 full time assistant coaches in addition to a Head Coach as was the situation ( albeit briefly) when Fletcher was here does not seem sustainable in the longer term. Another possible reason why RE is being pushed as the “ ideal” candidate for the role on a permanent basis?UpminsterO wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:42 am
c. The non player side of this club as now operating has high in numbers consuming wages and operating costs on employees - for a small league two team it appears out of balance

Don't see how any of that means the budget is a problem.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:42 am 1. The budget must be a problem
a - the quality of the applicants was lower this time compared to last time - ML words
b this club is run on spreadsheets and budgets - evidence - as abstracted from collection of interviews
c. The non player side of this club as now operating has high in numbers consuming wages and operating costs on employees - for a small league two team it appears out of balance
2. Yes - there is a non functional group in terms of performance and current results and integration/ acceptance of CF- irrespective of his reported failings it's just not how things generally go
Staff were functional enough last season.
I think you should admit you don't know what the budget is.

One of the three coaches is actually a player as well (granted he has not yet played) so you have better value against him of course if he plays.

Re: **MARTIN LING EXCLUSIVE**
Surely being the manager is more money and a stepping stone. RE said he didn’t want it when others were being interviewed to save face. Of course he wants it and Ling knows this. Should he have it is a different question with the answer of no.

Yes. But then we started winning some games and he, understandably, reconsidered.

I am not their accountant or been given access to their accounts
When I say the word must above it really is part of a sentence seeking a question without a ?
Yes of course they were effective and functional last season
This year the results gave not matched the potential to date and the QA and other reporting has stated certain issues that if we're eradicated could result in the club functioning in a more effective way.
