Really ?
Well he would say that wouldn't he, but like all things, the proof of the pudding is the eating.....and at the moment, the pudding is soggy and lifeless, so not great eating at all !

I was Sid. A mod made an insulting comment aimed at many of us on this forum, I replied in kind.. got a day off.

Sadly that says a lot about the mod concerned. But I’m not the sort to sit back, I’ll slug it out if need be. The mod decided to retire from the fray and ban me. Cowards way out but there you go. I’ll survive knowing I won that little joust.

What happened? There is only one ‘mod’ too who is incredibly thin-skinned.

It’s on another thread Dis. I have not repeated the insult because it’s best left to fade away. My position, as I repeat boringly, is that I avoid making nasty insults but will always respond to one in kind. Which I did. Cost me a day. I can survive.

Yes listened to that interview
I got that message but only the players can really verify that.

I have a ongoing issue with the validation process Ross nomination by Martin.

I fully appreciate their combined love and commitment for lofc and I really want them and lofc to be successful but I am struggling to buy into the rhetoric totally.

My logic

1. I fail to understand the need to continually emphasis Ross expierence defined from starting coaching at 16 to kids - the duration of teaching kids without the coaching badges is irrelevant and the tenure confuses the matter

2. The datum for failure/success appears based primary on the results - that is unfair . Because if we lose or draw most weeks Ross will always be classified as a "brilliant" coach and retained - with another applicant losing their job. (all people doing work anywhere should have a comparable chance ) I use this because players lack of "engagement" as described will be obviously different given their awareness of the end result in the two coaches employment.

3. The way it's being presented to us is again based on a biased selection. CF was obviously determined given the explanation on his effort in a short time to attempt to improve his interviews- with that commitment could not ML after doing his "investigation" confront Carl F and explain where he and the players are not liking his coaching style and ask to change we hear a lot about the investigation but not one word about ML attempting to seek CF awareness of the issues whatever they were and help him to change. The only inference was he may of spent too long with a whiteboard

Being a brilliant coach cannot not be converted to a success as a manager. I thought that what we were/are seeking even though the position title keeps changing from coach to manager to coach depending on what interview we listen to and who is party to that interview.
A brilliant analysis by @ UpminsterO of the topic under discussion here.
