Highs and Lows of our season

Post by F*ck The Poor & Fat »

Apart from Saturday of course, a high unlikely to be bettered for a while.

Game 1 vs Salford sticks in my memory. Given all their hype our late equaliser was a sweet and very enjoyable moment. Jumping up and down like a 5 year old much to the embarrassment of Mrs dOh.

Low point, our loss against Maidenhead at home. Poor performance and poo poo result when I expected a comfortable 3 points. Started to worry about our promotion chances. Glad I got that wrong.

High...got to be Saturday's game and post game.

Lows - going out of the FA Cup to Maidstone and us letting in two early goals that effectively killed the home game against Salford.

High - Sutton

Low - Bromley

The last couple of weeks were intense. Christ knows what it was like for staff and players.

High - Final whistle this Saturday

Low - reading all the moaning old farts on this message board whose main take home from the staggering events of the day is to go around calling other Os fans names for getting a bit too over excited with the celebrations

Particularly enjoyed away trips to Salford, Halifax, Chesterfield, Havant, Telford and Wrexham.

Salford at home was devastating. Bromley away felt like a kick downstairs but I had no gripe with anyone in a red shirt that night.

High: Saturday. A pleasure and a privilege to be there and witness the sheer joy of it all.

Low: At home to Ebbsfleet in August. It was the first home game of the season, we scored first and - in my opinion - we should have won. Conceding a late equaliser left me with a nasty feeling that we still had 'issues' with the ability to see games out. As things turned out, I was wrong.

I only went to away games apart from my first visit to Brisbane Road as a birthday present to watch the Gateshead game. Went through the whole season without seeing a loss.

High - the sight of the middle aged troglodytes who were screaming abuse at us after we went 1-0 up against Wrexham turning as we scored a second. Priceless

Low - Bromley, dreadful picture on the stream and a sense that the gods were against us.

Didn't go Saturday despite my wife offering to buy tickets a few weeks ago. Didn't want to jinx things.

High: Solihull away. That point and Salford losing effectively confirmed ZOrient as all but certain to win promotion

Lows: All the pants setting so called fans calling for Orient to deliberately lose FA Trophy games, because of their notion that a run in the FA Trophy would cost Orient the league

High-Last Saturday, hard to beat even in comparison with other great days

Low-Sutton at home, began to worry (unnecessarily in the end) what would happen against the very physical teams.
