I’ve never been arsed to listen to any of the various plodcasts, and the ‘listen in stages’ makes me feel relieved to have avoided this chewing-the-cud format for over-analysing LOFC

Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
55 mins in and you've slaughtered the fans 3 times. Never hear you criticise the club, players or management.
Whys that then?
Whys that then?
Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
Fans are easier to slag off than anyone else, that is why.
The club have been superb at bringing guys into line. As we saw from the other radio show, a slagging can bring an angry phone call.
Even with a terrible defeat like this weekend, there are people who won't really analyse things at all or blame anyone even in a constructive manner as much as take jibes at other fans, ie 'here comes the meltdown' etc.
I fast forwarded to the end and Travis says nothing new, but why risk pissing him off and him not coming on in future. I would say pseudo-official status is more important. Like the club culture, it's a cosy situation at the moment, do not rock the boat.

Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
Fred, how can you make a judgement on any of the shows if you haven't listened. I personally think all 3 outside of the club shows are markedly different and all do a good job. Obviously some will prefer one over another, but to condemn without listening is a tad poor imoContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 6:46 am I’ve never been arsed to listen to any of the various plodcasts, and the ‘listen in stages’ makes me feel relieved to have avoided this chewing-the-cud format for over-analysing LOFC

Mr Gilson - I am not castigating you plodcasters - read what I said.
I just can't be arsed listening to long and rambling analyses about LOFC - and the thought of listening for nearly two hours to this latest one is very unappealing to me personally.
For all those that do, fill your boots!

I like the MB, enjoy going to games - but football analysis (generally) bores me
PW - very funny that

Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
Same here, I forced myself to listen to the one with Porter on but getting to the relevant minute or so around all the white noise wasn't particularly fun. It's that whole idea of "why say one word when you can say five" just to pad out the time.ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:26 am Mr Gilson - I am not castigating you plodcasters - read what I said.

The Q&A was the best way for club to supporter engagement imo. Direct, to the point and answering the difficult questions head on. A bit of a masterstroke from Travis there facing up to the fanbase even if you can tell the panel were gritting their teeth to get through it somewhat.
Keep the club staff disseminating via the club so official statements are exactly that and leave all the 3rd party stuff for the pub chat, ex players and so on.

Thought id better do one.
With some of the mics not being close enough to
some of the participants & not hearing everything
I got rather bored quite quickly.
Not a critique of Gilso or the said participants
Charlie Ed' was very good, but the others were just your typical down the pub bores , who cant go 10 minutes without thinking/talking about the O's.
What some forget about this MB is that its a great way to pick up snippets when you want.
Or like in my case, pass the time with some good old wumming & p155 taking .
By me or against me its all fun.

Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
Our show was Thurs and apart from asking somebody to speak into the mic I don't think we had any major mic problems tbf. But if chat shows aren't your thing then fair enough. Got to say we've received very good feedback on the current show which I thought went well.

Re: **NIGEL TRAVIS ON CARL FLETCHER**
There were problems with the Mic. All the way through there was a whining noise in the background. Turns out there was a dog in the studio.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 7:47 pm Our show was Thurs and apart from asking somebody to speak into the mic I don't think we had any major mic problems tbf. You won't get criticism on these shows/podcasts because they get access. They won't bite the hand that feeds and represent the opinions of all fans.

Bloody hell Andy, I read that as “The winning was there for our Scottish listeners”. Winnng and Scottish in the same sentence, thought you had taken leave of your senses for a second.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 9:25 pm The whining was there for our Scottish listeners to make them feel more at home Max

The truth is the decent questions on here don't get asked, the dicko affair was poorly handled from your side as you quashed someone's personal opinion. Criticism of the club just does not happen and at times it seems like the show is an extension of the club when it should be fully independent.
