Well it’s clearly not going to be his, let’s hope as Kent said their are lessons to be learnt and that now the job will be advertised as it should have been in the first place for a proven, experienced Manager at this level with absolutely no restrictions.

Goes completely against what Ling and Travis said in the Q&A yesterday. Methinks the man (Ross) doth protest too much

What does Danny Webb say about the role? Does anybody know? The future is with some of our youth team players, those that are left, and he helped them develop.

Ling and Travis Q&A was before yesterday’s defeat.
Embleton’s statement was made after yesterday’s defeat, so he has made his position crystal clear.

As they said in the Q&A "things change". He'll be persuaded to take it on, just needs an odd win here and there and that'll do.

Well things did indeed change after the match, so Embleton’s position should be respected and he should not be put under any pressure to change his mind as this would clearly be bullying, which I am sure would be against the clubs ethos.

It cant be good for the club to have a reluctant manager no matter how well liked he is or even an Orient man through and through. If he doesn't want to do it than don't force him to by emotional blackmail

I have looked at the YouTube video that this quote is from and to be honest it’s been taken out of context. All Embleton has done is steered clear at this stage of saying outright that he wants the HC job on a permanent basis. The indications from yesterday’s Q&A were crystal clear. The Board & DoF would like him to be the next man but are not prepared to offer the job to him right now.

Exactly the club have now got no excuses for not immediately advertising the Managers job , with the only restrictions being that those applying must be a proven and experienced Manager at this level.
Going by how long it took to choose a Manager out of 40 applicants it could take some considerable time, allowing Embleton to relax with no pressure and get us some results in the meantime, what could be more logical?

I agree, if Ross sees the club actively looking for a manager (like last time ) then it would ease his mindset, but the owners saying that they want him permanently doesn't help. After all the man previously resigned from the job. I agree with the people who see it as a cheap option. I feel that the owners are confident that we won't get relegated and will review the situation next summer

TBH even if Ross doesn't want it, I think we'll go for Danny with Ross as assistant. Can't be messin' with the ethos at this time.

Looking at the League table I sense that Cambridge might be in trouble - finished 20th last season and surely another lower third finish will not be good for Calderwood and he will be fired, or at least have their head turned by a club offering to pay for him...

I do believe that now we have got the 'untested' gamble out of the way, we will go for the experienced version, and that will be Calderwood. Strangely enough, I bet the referencing for that will go through fine.

I thought calderwood previously, but he's brought in his own players and it's not working, so for now "I'm out"

It comes down to results, simple as that. Just as Martin said in the q and a yesterday. If Ross is able to get a run going, he’ll take it.

Forget the advertising route . We should do what other clubs do and that's decide on who you want and go out and try and get them .

Nothings guaranteed in football . Even with my choice of bring back Russell Slade things might not work out . I just feel Russell would have the best chance but nothings for certain. Whoever ends up with the job , the club needs to realise changes have to be made during the January transfer window .
