Ross let's the cat out of the bag
At 2:47 DD asks if Ross learned anything from working with Carl Fletcher. His response is very telling. Ignore for a moment the damning with faint praise beginning to his answer and instead notice what slips out at 2:56.
"Yeh, I've worked with people I haven't got on with and I've taken from those people... Its made me a better coach."
DD didn't mention not getting on with Fletcher at all, that was Ross inferring that.
He also goes on to say "You take the good and the bad from everybody." if I was chatting to someone at work who said it like that you'd understand perfectly well what they were implying.
He doesn't offer a sop to Fletcher. He had ample opportunity to offer some platitudes but just didn't, which again, in this media managed age speaks volumes.

Made his feelings pretty clear on Fletcher.
Not quite so clear on his views to taking the job on permanently. Sounds from that as if he is back up for it.

He’s already had a gilt edged invitation from Ling at today’s Q&A session- “ in an ideal world Ross would take the job permanently “. Can’t get much clearer than that!

Travis also quoted as saying "I hope he is a success and becomes the permanent manager". It's been in their mind the whole time, a Hearn-esque cheap solution and I wonder if that clouded their judgement in dismissing Fletcher so quickly.redintheface wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 9:43 pmHe’s already had a gilt edged invitation from Ling at today’s Q&A session- “ in an ideal world Ross would take the job permanently “. Or even clarified their judgement in acting when they did?
