Did you miss last week? We were much worse.

Trust me , I've seen much worse performances than today . Problem is we're missing Angol and Wilkinson . Angol did come on late in the second half but understandably looked off the pace. It's going to take him a bit of time to get back up to speed.
And was then played on the bloody left wing.

Not going to criticise Ross. Twice he ha been dumped on From day 1, as tough as it was, we should have got an experienced manger in. Let Ross help the squad in the background whilst an experienced guy worked on a game plan. I feel for Ross he is trying his Best Buy by his own

We've got a goalkeeper struggling for form and fitness, no pro backup / competition

A decent LB who has no cover or competition, results shown today having to play Happe there who got roasted for pave down the line in build up to first goal.

A non-existent central midfield. One decent player for this level (Wright) with no ball-winner alongside him. Marsh loan looking a waste of time as Clay gets the nod every game regardless of how poor he plays.

Some half-decent wingers who keep getting moved upfront or back to LB (Brophy)

Two decent strikers who can't form a partnership as they're too similar. One 35 year old who is now looking tired and a player who is semi-pro quality.

Big overhaul needed.
Angol and Wilkinson keep getting injured or suspended . They've not been together long enough to form any partnership.

Happe, Angol, Wilkinson at a push. Perhaps Widdowson. Macanuff if he was fit. That’s it. How many is that, 5 out of 16 regulars. No wonder we are struggling.
Agreed. I’d maybe add Wright to that list and Brophy. But that’s all.
If you were building a squad right now it'd be something like

New GK (Brill as backup)
Widdowson
Ekpiteta
Happe
New RB (perhaps Turley if he can stay fit)

Brophy
New CM
Wright
JMD

New ST
Angol / Wilkinson

Also need a few options on bench

New LB to cover Widdowson
New ST to replace Alabi
Yes I agree, we need about four new players . Goalkeeper, defender , A Vincelot type Central Midfielder , and a new striker . On top of hiring a new manager it's going to be expensive . That should get us safe then restructure the squad during the Summer . The first piece of that jigsaw is a new manager . Somebody experienced to sort us out and knows who and where to get the three new players we obviously need.

But as you should well know our field is very limited in acquiring an experienced manager.
(a) he would want to bring his own assistants. (b) he wouldn't want a Dof breathing down his neck.

Looks like Ross Embleton will be given another chance with no back up plan, you couldn’t make it up.
Maybe the board already know who they want and are going to try and get him . No applicants needed .

Does seem almost a foregone conclusion based on their Q&A comments I must admit.

Everything about today was pedestrian. This club is coasting. Management, ownership and players. Total lack of desire and ambition all over the show.

And yes. I was at the Maldon game but you’re missing my point. Maldon at least looked like they wanted to play football - we’ll leave their actual abilities aside. Scunthorpe were absolutely abysmal, yet we didn’t come close to troubling them all afternoon. Their keeper made one save from memory - a lacklustre effort from Dennis. If that is a decent performance with a lack of finishing ability, then I’d hate to see what a bad performance looks like.

Heard him mentioned as a CB and LB, in either case he isn't trusted to play it seems
