Overhaul Needed

Club needs a total overhaul on the playing side from top to bottom. Players aren’t good enough. The culture is one of incessant mediocrity. Kent banging on about all this seven year plan nonsense does us no favours. We need someone in who is going to shake the whole thing up and quickly. Make no mistake this team is relegation bound on this form. Absolutely useless.

Yes, back to the original post, complete overhaul required - too many players that can't cut it at this level. Yes good enough to get us over the line last season, but the removal of the 2 top scorers has not been adequately addressed and the others are all floundering with the desire, mental strength and sheer effort displayed by opponents (even like Scunny). Midfield is particularly weak.

Coulson and Brill's contracts are going to be nigh on impossible to move. Did Clay also sign a new two year deal? If so that's another tough one to move.

We've got a goalkeeper struggling for form and fitness, no pro backup / competition

A decent LB who has no cover or competition, results shown today having to play Happe there who got roasted for pave down the line in build up to first goal.

A non-existent central midfield. One decent player for this level (Wright) with no ball-winner alongside him. Marsh loan looking a waste of time as Clay gets the nod every game regardless of how poor he plays.

Some half-decent wingers who keep getting moved upfront or back to LB (Brophy)

Two decent strikers who can't form a partnership as they're too similar. One 35 year old who is now looking tired and a player who is semi-pro quality.

It's going to take a few seasons to turn most of the players round. In the meantime a few in crucial positions will help.
Midfield is where we are really weak. That's the most important area to strengthen. A decent striker too.
Going to be a hard season from now on, even with only one going down.

I’m sorry. Hate to disagree. But a massive clear out is what we need. Brill and Coulson are out of shape, which is just an epic lack of professionalism more than anything else. No excuse for that from anyone who is a supposedly pro athlete. Add to them, ling (who to be fair was half decent today, but doesn’t excuse his lacklustre showings all season), Marvin, clay, JMD, harrold (as much as I like him he’s not cut out for this level anymore), Dennis and Alabi. Wright was also particularly bad today, but has not been amongst the worst this season. If that isn’t a clear out then I don’t know what is.

Referring to the manager issue. I’m very supportive of the Board but they are getting this wrong. They had a chance to redeem the situation and by their own admission go it spectacularly wrong

Yet for long spells I thought we were the better side . Our problem is we can't finish . First goal was sloppy defending again and the second was we got caught on the counter attack because we were pushing forward for an equaliser . We have to put our chances away when we're on top or we will find ourselves in trouble come the end of the season .

One of the worst performances I’ve seen from an orient team in a long time. And I include the Bechetti era in that. Absolutely turgid stuff.

Trust me , I've seen much worse performances than today . Problem is we're missing Angol and Wilkinson . Angol did come on late in the second half but understandably looked off the pace. It's going to take him a bit of time to get back up to speed.
