Ross part 2
1:30 onwards is strange. It's almost as if he's forgotten about playing 5 at the back, playing sh*t football and everyone being pissed off.

Interestingly he said we will get back to what we were doing previously, that says alot to me about the behind the scenes stuff.

"Some players have needed to have a look at themselves..." hmmm that speaks volumes.

More important, we have a guy worth listening to. With something to say. Refreshing.
Well done Ross.
Well done Ross.

A statement that applies to anybody whose boss has got the sack. Only the players will know if they gave 100% and if not, why not. Players too are human beings.

If you're winning the media stuff wouldn't matter.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:29 pm I am full of admiration of Ross E
I appreciate his ability to communicate
I believe he is a very decent and sincere person
What I am thinking is now in the age of social media it appears on this forum that the way some one acts in body language / verbal delivery
Crowd intereaction is more important, or as important as results
If we do get a new person that has achieved before what happens if that person is not very good as a media communicator or has any annoying habit like scratching his face or looking away -do we then have a barrage of posts to get rid if him or will people just accept we are winning and they don't care.
It's getting quite tricky now in life having attributes that satisfies everyone and thus is getting worse each new decade

Re: Ross part 2
I dare say if all is well behind the scenes and the team look like they are trying, maybe the odd win, the quality of the interviews will be less of an issue.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:29 pm I am full of admiration of Ross E

Re: Ross part 2
I doubt the issue was his qualifications, that is the easy bit to assess. It’s how he interacts with colleagues. How he responds to them and they to him. If that ain’t right all the qualifications in the world don’t help.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:49 pm We had a manager of a premier club employment culture and ex player captain of country and top clubs - deemed to have the wrong ethos - what was wrong ?- other than results
Did he have a training or tactical presentation so different
I would of thought with the standardised coaching badges a weekly match training cannot be to much different between staff

Re: Ross part 2
I was deeply critical of Ross in his previous spell but fairs fair he comes across extremely well in that interview and talked a lot of sense. I'd like nothing better than Ross, Webby & Jobi making a rip-roaring success of it. What has come across loud and clear from Ling, Kent and now Ross' versions of events is that Fletch's performance in interviews wasn't a million miles away from his performance with the staff and players. Underwhelming, uninspiring and unconvincing.

This is what is bizarre. They have no issue with his coaching, so what was it? Has he come in all guns blazing?UpminsterO wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:49 pm We had a manager of a premier club employment culture and ex player captain of country and top clubs - deemed to have the wrong ethos - what was wrong ?- other than results

It's getting quite tricky now in life having personal attributes that satisfies everyone and thus is getting worse each new decade - the same thing is happening in our workplaces with staff interaction and wanting some one out even if their work is acceptable
