It would take about the same amount of time for Carl Fletcher to become professional.

Max is gutted that a standard bearer for clubs not chasing the pot of gold has now gone. At least now they can pay players properly and not employ them for free may allow them to fill hampden park.

Years ago my dad and his mate ran the local youth team. They were very good and the son of my dad's mate who played for the team was a good player. He was picked up by QP and a future in the game looked certain.

Sadly he was killed in a car crash whilst touring with QP during a pre season tour of Canada.

His brother went on to play with Raith Rovers and was a decent CF. He ended up playing in HK and now lives in Aus.

Being forced out Hampden by the SFA pretty much left going professional as the only option, especially with the threat of relegation from the SFL.
