A bit surprised, tbh. The other coaches & senior players must have been pretty unanimous with a thumbs down.

I'm not surprised, it was clear he lost the players from their languid performances, if the rumours are true of a bust up with danny the air at the training ground must have been toxic.

His tactics were inept, his lack of personality projection towards the players would have been an issue, and let's be honest not once either pitch side or in interviews did he look happy.

A poor appointment and let's hope that Danny, Jobi and Ross can give back the players the confidence, belief and the fun factor to their game.
I hope the rumours about Fletcher & Webb falling out are not true but if it is the case it illustrates the folly of insisting that the new Head Coach had to retain the existing staff. The new appointment, whoever it may be, must be given a free hand if the Board truly believe that they have got the right man to take the club forward.
What back room staff did Fletcher have? He was in charge of loan players! Since when does that include back room staff?
The issue isn't just Fletcher, it's any new manager coming in. The coaches have a tight bond with the players and if the coaches don't get on with the new manager's vision, then it won't work.

I think any experienced manager would be able to win over the coaches. As most of them have to do it when they go to a new club. Fletcher not being used to being the man in charge probably hasn't helped him.

Then Ling should check with them first!

I'm astonished the board gave CF so little time. It must have been a really toxic atmosphere with him at the helm.

It sounds like, from various comments on here, that some of the players are holding any possible new manager to ransom, if
they don't get on with the new guy.

That'll learn him for hacking the board.

Also I feel the timing ahead of this game was deliberate. I imagine a full house and a toxic atmosphere. Would not have been a nice place to be or make a good impression on potential new fans.

Valid point SF, but it was clear he had to go and I guess the talks and the to and throwing between lawyers on an acceptable nda determined when it happened.

It’s this.

You can guarantee that when Justin walked in, the coaching staff got behind him straight away. None of them would have dared act up with him.

We need a strong, experienced man manager to come in and take on this situation.

Exactly we need a manager not another coach under the current structure.

Or it was coincidental and the timing was because of another training ground bust up during the week...

Not sure you’re right there tbh. Davis was extremely experienced and failed to do so.

And this is the dilemma . What if a new manager comes in and identifies the same problems , what happens next ? That's why I can't see any experienced manager being appointed anytime too soon.
