I think it’s more to do with what Fletcher offers that Webb don’t. If you are going to take a punt on someone with little experience then why not Webb.
Not too sure many want Webb over an experienced manager

I know what you mean but its not incestuous; its more like a family or closed shop. Its been bonded together by a combination of success and grief at JE's loss and its going to be hard for a year or two yet to break that.
Webb is no 3. He will be even more of a ‘mate’ than the number 2.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:49 pmSo give it to the man that has managed the club before rather than the man who never wanted to manage and that has formed a bond of friendship and trust with the players, it then forces that relationship to change.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:18 pmWrong .BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:13 pm
Wrong. They thought they made the right decision but it was made with emotion rather than emotion and pragmatism.
They put someone in charge to oversee the transition of the club after the death of JE .
They used the word " Interim " ,
To allow a person the opportunity to grow into a role slowly.
Unfortunately , the Hatred & Bitterness awoken by the Italian Circus in some fans gave them a belief that there voice was important all if the time over every matter at the club.
B*ll*cks it is .
Get back to going once or twice a week & screaming your nuts off to follow the club .
Put your life crisis misery away & become a Football fan again . Honestly you desrve it , youve had a coupke of tough years following the O's.
A person unsuitable for the role, who couldn't handle the step up.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:18 pmWrong .BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:13 pmWrong. They thought they made the right decision but it was made with emotion rather than emotion and pragmatism.

That Swindon game was the most pathetic collapse I've watched Orient do (didn't see Maldon so there's a battle on that one for which is worse). As a football fan you want to side a decent game and watch your side give it their best shot. At times this season that's definitely not been the case, under both Embleton and Fletcher.
That said as said fan L2 quality football has been a far better watch than NL even when we've been battered by the likes of Swindon, rather than kicked out of a game.
Fans ultimately are the ones who are the difference between playing a game in silence and having a club that means something so their voice does matter.
After seeing all that work gone into getting back into the league we have to fight to earn the right to stay there. The complacency some seem to display that we can do that by default is astounding. Don't think the club has given L2 the respect it deserves and been caught out as a result, leading to the CF appointment which was a gamble that's backfired massively.
What you're asking for is not fans but supporters. There's a difference. Supporters will buy an Orient badged turd if it came up for sale whereas fans will criticise when things are poor as much as they'll applaud when they go well. Some can't seem to accept that as a valid way to follow the club though.
Webb is first team coach, Ross is assistant manager. Ross is who the players go to.RedO wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:38 pmWebb is no 3. You’re not talking sense mate.
Let Ross hold the post for a week or two and get a proper manager in.
I watched that game. They were crap that day for sure, tactically clueless and bereft of quality.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:57 pmSeriously ?gshaw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:47 pmA person unsuitable for the role, who couldn't handle the step up.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:18 pm

Swindon was the most pathetic collapse youve
ever seen ?
Yeovil put 5 past us not so long back at home
Plenty of thumpings over the years .
Teaches you how to be an O's fan
You endure the monotony for moments like
The final whistle at braintree , or the home play off semi final with the posh or tehoue against the arse to mention a few .
If you cry over Swindon then you have an awful lot to learn
It was great to see the turnout of people paying their respects and moving to hear the guy from British Legion as he read out the pre-silence words. It's about respect and remembering ordinary people who had to go through unimaginable horrors, that's more important than a game of football.
