I hate to sound like a grieving soul but to me it is still obvious that the players have not got over the loss of Justin. In less than six months they have lost there leader, there inspiration and there guiding light. Players and others from outside Orient shed light on what type of person he was and how many football careers did he put back on the right path. When he spoke and converted people into his phylosophy, they became believers and as a band of brothers would achieve success. Not seeing him or hearing his voice and leadership, has left them without the person that they as grown men worshipped. Whether you was a experienced senior pro or a young 17/18 year old boy he was your father figure. Thinking about it now Ross was probably a outstanding appointment, as the players felt he was family and indifferent results and performances should have been expected. Carl Fletcher has been brought in as Manager to work with staff he does not know and to try to implore the style of play he wants. Carl to Justin in terms of leadership and personality seems to be like chalk and cheese. It's not neccessarily Carls fault but more a case of a stranger coming into your house and trying to change things when dad a person we all loved has just passed away. If he does get sacked, keep the new appointment in-house until the end ofseason. Will probably help this current group of players. If then a new manager comes in he should be entitled to bring his own staff and sign new fresh players. I was never 100% sure of Ross but i can now see where this current group of players are struggling to come to terms with a tragic situation.

I think that you are absolutely right. Tragically, I think we need to undertake the process of dismantling the championship team and replacing them with players who are not impacted by the events of the summer.

This clearly isn’t going to last.

Thankfully I wasn't there today due to work commitments but I usually sit in the West Stand and apart from a handful of people , it's generally fairly quiet . If Carl got that amount of stick from the West Stand then he's got major problems .

One has to wonder about the man's thinking when at home he plays just 1 striker up front? Understandable away but not at home especially against a team 4 leagues below. And why oh why send out Ruel Sotiriou when we have 2 forwards on the injury list?

One up front can be very attacking with the right three players behind him. Look at Liverpool, Firmino isn't going to get you 20 goals a season. His role is to facilitate Mane and Salah. I'd question whether Harrold is a lone centre forward however. His main strength is knock downs, not holding it up and playing others through. He's an old fashioned battering ram. He needs wingers flinging the ball in and a nippy striker alongside of him to run on to the knock downs. So its not a 1 up top issue per se, more an issue with not playing to player's strengths. Fletch may argue that he has limited options but that's not true. We've got a poacher on the books but he's, inexplicably on loan at Dover. If the idea is have a false nine up front, bringing others into play then pick one of our more technical, intelligent players.

Sotiriou is on Fletcher, if you were Ruel and watching Angol get injured, Wilkinson being sent off and Alabi being inept you would have been fairly hopeful the chance would have come soon. The number of defenders and midfielders on the bench was not good for the last two games but then I am sure we did not envisage being in a losing position and needing attackers.

Only have one striker but I am sure it's meant to be 4-3-3 when attacking. Given the current squad it is probably the best solution we have with our players. It bought us 3 wins initially but it seems to have been found out.

The last Welshman we had in charge wasn't very inspiring either, as I remember.

Geraint Williams who was brought in to save us from relegation . He must have been fairly inspiring to have achieved that .

I’ve just looked at all the managers since I’ve been coming down the O’s and I’ve never really disliked anyone of them except Eustace. I hated his style of football, I hated his motivational abilities and his coaching and man management.

With you all the way there Thor. I always thought that Eustace would be a hard act to follow in the dislike stakes, but Fletcher really is giving it a good go.
