Many of these attacks are automated, using well known exploits and password lists.
The attack was on web front end, WordPress rather than the forum software phpBB. Two separate systems so wouldn't panic about personal data just yet.

Which one of the youngsters hacked the old board? Can't remember if it was NU, Heymessy or Caca?
