Re: Salford
You could be correct. The backers have been brutal in disposing of players and managers once they have been promoted. Failure to go up will not go down well with them.

Re: Salford
Having to sit and listen to their “fans” singing “you f*cking sh*t” whilst pointing in my direction at Brisbane Road means that I have zero sympathy for that club of classless scumbags.
Hope they get done over in the play-offs.
Don’t care who goes up as long as it’s not Salford.
The football league doesn’t need another cash heavy vanity project.

Re: Salford
They will come after JE by dangling big bucks in his direction. An offer too good to turn down. He definitely would get them promoted as Champions next season. A sound investment for them and a big payday for Justin.

Re: Salford
On many counts, would be very surprised if that did happen, so on this occasion I beg to disagree ( with fingers crossed behind my back ! )

I’m sure you’re right Sid. Though if I were their owner it’s what I’d do. And given their financial clout bringing in a guy with two promotions in the NL on his CV and knows the NL better than most I’d personally move heaven and earth to get him.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:09 amOn many counts, would be very surprised if that did happen, so on this occasion I beg to disagree ( with fingers crossed behind my back ! )

Re: Salford
Don't think they did think that. Considering it's their first season at this level and second ever season as a full time professional club they've done very well. They'll reach the EFL sooner or later, doesn't have to be this season.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:20 pm Thank God they imploded.
I hope they fail in the play offs. Bunch of Billy big bollocks thinking they were going to be the top banana in the NL.

Re: Salford
I cant see it myself, JE is happy being in the South of the country and has also experienced the downside of football management with his two previous clubs, Gillingham and Northampton. To me his tactics are gritty and often not that entertaining. Achieves results at these lower levels but the higher you go, tactics wise, the more difficult it gets. He will improve as he gains more success and experience, which he is doing now at the Os !!dOh Nut wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:19 amI’m sure you’re right Sid. For now, for both the Clubs sake and his sake, hope he stays and helps us stabilise our position in Division two next season !
