Jayden Sweeney
On trial at Fulham, another one we're going to let go for peanuts having barely played for us?

Re: Jayden Sweeney
You're a dreamer. The boy has something about him and a club who are in championship looking to get in the premier must be seeing the same as me if not more.
If he goes i trust that we get a proper fee for him with further incentives.

Re: Jayden Sweeney
It's not really as we can sell him for a fee possibly more than we may have got under his old contract. Plus for the player he gets rewarded for good progress and development, what's not to like for everyone concerned?aylesburyos wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 9:16 am I agree good player. Re: Jayden Sweeney
Sweeney when he matures physically will be a very good player and he reminds me in the way he plays of Bobby Fisher a terrific full back of yesteryear. He rarely gives the ball away , his distribution is good and he is quick. It would be another managerial error to let him go cheaply as we did Alzate. Ogie and Sweeney are the future.

Re: Jayden Sweeney
Why do I need to do that to know whether we sold him cheaply when we don't know for sure what he was sold for?
Alzate wasn't a Premier League standard player when he signed for them, as demonstrated by him being loaned to a League One/Two team. He was bought based on potential, which is a risk both ways (for Brighton has buyers and us as sellers). So he wouldn't have commanded a fee based on being a young "Premiership" (sic) player at the time we sold him.

Alzate wasn't a young Premier League player. He was a young League Two player bought by a Premier League team. I'm not sure why this is complicated.

Come on surely as a moderator you must see. It does not fit with someone's argument on the subject......Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 1:53 pm Alzate wasn't a young Premier League player. I don't really know what you're trying to say there. Also, I'm not a moderator any more.

According to your details you are indeed a moderator. According to the legend on the forum you are a moderator, so it’s likely you still have moderator powers and moderator access.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 4:39 pm I don't really know what you're trying to say there. That makes you a moderator in my book.

It's like in the States they still call ex Presidents 'President' years after they've left office. You're right about me being a legend though!Thor wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 4:52 pmAccording to your details you are indeed a moderator. I'm not judging the source just posting the only link I know of. Haven't seen anything else on it, only other place you might be able to get a rough idea is via accounts?Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 8:55 pmWhy would anyone believe that was accurate given the person that posted it?gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 8:01 pmAs low as £100k if this was accurate

Re: Jayden Sweeney
Just for anyone that is interested a Brighton scout sat next to me at a game last season. There is a spare seat next to me and I always talk to whoever sits there. Lots of times it’s scouts. He said Brighton were very pleased with Alzate, he had a good attitude and potential. I couldn’t get out of him how much money was involved.
