Request from PASOTI

Post by Admin »

Anyone fancy answering these for PASOTI ahead of Tuesday's fixture?

1: What are your thoughts on Leyton Orient's season so far?

2: What are your views on the appointment of former Argyle boss Carl Fletcher as manager?

3: Given the recent financial problems and ownership issues of lower league clubs are Leyton Orient in a stable state at the moment?

4: What are your expectations and predicted finishing position in League Two for this season?

5: Without giving too much away what style of football and formation are Leyton Orient likely to use against Argyle?

6: Looking from afar what are your views on Plymouth Argyle?

7: And finally do you have a prediction for the game?

1: What are your thoughts on Leyton Orient's season so far? After the sad passing of our manager all thoughts of football take second place to the man and what he did in his life. It has had an impact on our club and fanbase more than people could imagine. Ross stepped into a situation that he never imagined ever having to do. The team has been up and down, and we should have more points than we have. However, I believe that confidence was low (possibly more fragile than anything) aligned to the existing players going through a grieving process whilst trying to win games without their manager and mentor standing there beside them.

2: What are your views on the appointment of former Argyle boss Carl Fletcher as manager? I personally am quite enthused by his appointment. He has played at the top level, his has been an international player, he was captain through his career and thus us a leader. His coaching will be fresh and up to date with new ideas and beliefs and if he has taken anything from Eddie Howe then we can only benefit in the long term.

3: Given the recent financial problems and ownership issues of lower league clubs are Leyton Orient in a stable state at the moment? Yes we are thankfully. Having been through an horrendous time under our previous chairman I know how the fans of these clubs feel right now. Our owners are looking for long term sustainability, which is being built through investment in the club, attracting sponsorship like we've never done before, streaming games to fans around the world and making our ground a place you feel good about going to each week.

4 What are your expectations and predicted finishing position in League Two for this season? Before the sad passing of Justin I felt we would have been capable of automatic promotion and possibly win it with the right additions. Right now I'd be happy with a shot up towards the play offs, whilst just being in this league after everything we've been through would still make me happy.

5: Without giving too much away what style of football and formation are Leyton Orient likely to use against Argyle? 4-3-3 playing football through the team and looking to play off the front man.

6: Looking from afar what are your views on Plymouth Argyle? Well it was a great advert with Paul Whitehouse and the green army. You are a big club in an area devoid of lots of other league clubs and its pleasing that you come through your previous troubles and maybe starting to look up once more. I did think you would be challenging come the end of the season and i still think you can.

7: And finally do you have a prediction for the game?
1-1 as we continue our decent run with Harrkld scoring for us.
