The long-term boarder has an established career on various incarnations of this message board and significant IT skills that made him the front-runner candidate.

The board has needed the input of fresh blood and impetus and with commitments elsewhere coupled with PJ's retirement, the time was ripe for change and I firmly believe PW is going to provide this."

Asked if this was a classic case of poacher turned gamekeeper, FTC said: "Absolutely. Having previously transgressed, I am a firm believer in rehabilitation and forgiveness. I truly consider the appointment to be the correct one."

With respect to outgoing mod, Proposition Joe, FTC stated: "The MB community has much to be grateful to PJ and his acerbic wit and judgement as a moderator will be sorely missed. In honour of the service he has given, his moderating rights and badge will not be retired and he will retain this honorary rank".

Prestige Worldwide will be making his own statement in due course. PJ will also be making a valedictory retirement statement.
