Spot on.

A bit controversial, but the Pope just saying birth control is ok would help eliminate so many deaths of young people.

Eliminate deaths? Surely we need more deaths if we're to save the human race from climate catastrophe?

So yes, I guess you're right, by default.
The oddest thing is that the most capitalist PM that we ever had gave a speech in 1988, laying down the issues of climate change for the first time.

However, the easiest way to change things is to have a system that encourages change. Not your current Chinese, US or Indian models. But these are the ones that need to change. It makes little or no odds what we do.

It's over population by humans which is killing the planet. War and plague used to keep our numbers down.

If you want to save the planet, don't breed.

It still does Malaria is still the No1 killer of humans. No2 is other humans. But probably not in the large enough numbers you want.

I’ve just seen on the news a lady called Gail Bradbrok who is the leader of XR. She is filmed on top of the entrance to the department of transport with a hammer in her hand trying to smash the glass behind her.

What is that all about? How is that protesting? Wilfully damaging property, get her down, arrest her and take her to court. There is no need to cause damage to property that does not belong to you, protest away peacefully and people will support you, but pull stunts like that I am sorry, but you start to lose my attention and voice.

She is acting like a scumbag in my eyes I’m afraid.

Oh behave.

You've been bleating on about this on all 4 pages. They never had your 'attention and voice', you've been against them from the start.

Or the women who refused to answer piers Morgan’s questions on breakfast tv. Hypocrites.

So you think it’s ok to wreck a building do you? Maybe it’s acceptable in your life, it’s not in mine.

Yes it’s ok to have 20 cars as you can only drive one at a time.

Next.

As far as I am aware they are major polluters and if these protests are to really gain traction then influence in China makes sense. Hong Kong is all very well but their voice needs to spread to many other countries.

The pollution in China is really bad beyond anything I've ever seen anywhere. I remember when I was in school they showed us pictures of the london soup (fog) and it's as bad as that if not worse as its every day spring summer or winter.

If you stand in Hong Kong Harbour you struggle to see the other side.

I spoke to peoe there and they said the government will only clean up the pollution once they have finsihed the infrastructure projects they are implementing which will allow the people to feed themselves. I said but this is killing the people, he replied I know, but there's 1.3bn of us and we were dying of hunger now we are dying of pollution. When it's done we will be ok and then clean up will begin, but until then it will continue.

Was in Beijing a couple of years ago and the smog was awful. Many locals wear face masks. I’d be surprised if they take things like Extinction Rebellion seriously. So whilst all these protests have an important message, unless China takes note not much will change. Well at a really serious level.
