So Britain choosing to leave a political union causes some Bulgarians to abuse black footballers?

You do spout some crap.

Racism causes some Bulgarians to abuse black footballers, nothing else.

You do the anti racism campaign so much garm by spouting rubbish like this.

Racism didn't exist before the referendum did it not?
Err... doesn't the first line of Milano's post say Brexit isn't to blame?
He does, but then goes on to blame Brexit.

Read the last line
Engage your brain please. The point he is making is that coming into contact with people of different backgrounds helps to solve racial issues, and that the EU is one way of doing that.

A post earlier along said that outside of London there is more racism. There is less racism in London because there is more cultural integration. It's not accident that places where you come into contact with people from different backgrounds more often have less racial issues.

Brexit has absolutely nothing to do with the racism last night and its pathetic and insulting to the victims of racism to suggest it has anything to do with racists booing black footballers.

They boo black players because they are racists and no other reason

Since BREXIT, they feel they don't feel welcome now are are subject to violence and demands to 'f*** off to wherever they came from'. No wonder they shout and scream hatred to you.

Yes that's absolutely true and post-Brexit I hope to see an immigration system that allows people in from all over the world. The point is though, the more you meet black people, or anyone different, the less you will hate them.

Very impressed by the action of Southgate and his players to these Nazis and the support the FA have provided.

I hope that challenging fascists in this way encourages Anti-fascists in Bulgaria to step up their campaign against them.

Tell that to the white residents of Bradford, Blackburn etc.

Not a lot of racial harmony there despite large numbers of people from non white backgrounds

I would suggest that integration has been done poorly there. It's about more than living in the same city. It is about living in the same space, sharing community spaces, places of work ect.

Multi culturalism doesn't work, ask the North American Indians. Two sets of people with different, ideas values and thought in one country doesn't work, one culture wants to dominate the other, multi racial does because ultimately they're both singing from the same hymn sheet

Yeh, I agree.

We still have a long way to go in the UK, but it’s good to reflect on how far we have come too. Progress has definitely been made. Sometimes it’s easy to forget.

The Head of the Bulgarian FA has stood down in light of the actions of their fans last night. He was told to do this otherwise the government would have stepped in and stopped funding of the association.

Now we need to see UFEA step in and do something positive for once and not the silly 5k fines they normally dish out. Personally they should receive a 1 game ban, the points awarded to the other team and if a repeat is ever seen again then kick them out of whatever competition they are in. Then a 2 year ban or something along those lines, only then will behaviour change.

There's a difference between adapting to a culture and respecting the values that a country holds, and having to become like them to be accepted. Embrace difference, you'll be a lot happier for it.

I’ve mixed feelings about awarding points to the other team. It could adversely affect other teams in the group through no fault of their own.

They need to play out the group with any penalties being applied to the next competition, like starting off on a minus points total.

Jobi McAnuff (@jobimcanuff): #eng players should have walked!! Not having this 3 step protocol nonsense, like they’re saying it’s not that bad 1st or 2nd time? Why are we taking our lead from @UEFA a body who have proven time and again they are NOT serious about tackling racism in the game. I can understand"

He's got a point but as I understand the situation it was the Nazis that were made to walk. So the teams response wasn't futile.

Seeing those thugs leaving the ground was a good thing and a good message to others. I can fully understand Jobi’s feelings but a real start has been made.

Would've been even better if we'd seen them getting a proper battering from the police outside the ground...........

The British just have a habit of not complaining and are reserved. Don’t kid yourself that in the comfort of their own home and especially outside London, most people are pretty racist. It’s just hidden behind the twitching curtain. Not just Brits though. I have worked in plenty of countries. The Hong Kong people hate the Chinese. Singaporeans don’t like Malaysians. Americans hate Mexicans. Mexicans hate Colombians. The list is endless. It will never change. The difference between the Bulgarian supporters is that they don’t care saying it because they won’t be chucked into prison for a year + Eastern European governments actively encourage it. The papers take this morning is classic the British sh*t don’t stink. That we are exceptional as a race. We could be proud of our supporters for condemning it. It’s mainly because our supporters have spotters and hundreds of cameras panned on them. If they could get away with it a number would. A few nights before they tried to smash up Prague. I kind of get what Stockholm is trying to say although my mod job has just gone out the window.
You seem quite informed. Please enlighten me as to who the Kazakhs hate, or possibly the Uzbeks. There seems to be a lot of hating going on fella.
