I must admit I've seen us play a lot better . Braintree didn't look like a team heading for the National League South . They had about six players on loan and it showed . They were a lot better then they were when we played them at their place . Anyway , job done and the after game atmosphere is something I'll remember for the rest of my life . The place was rocking. Well done Orient, now onto Wembley and the double .

Scrappy game, difficult conditions, crap ref - cheerio NL, hello EFL!
Very emotional for me, welled up a few times. The first, and maybe the only, chance in my lifetime to sing 'Championes ...'
We’re on our way, we’re on our way ...

Re: Ratings v Braintree
Agreed, can see why Braintree results have picked up, that was not a relegation standard side.
Lots of nerves today understandably. But who cares?

Annoyingly not the biggest National League crowd of the season. Wrexham v Salford on Boxing Day had 8283.

what did he do wrong all game?
Cba with ratings but would single out Happe for us, totally agree with Bera. Plays with such composure and maturity, 100% signing a contract with a Championship club this summer.

A lot of the time the polar opposite of what we've had all season, blowing up for nothing and some where Braintree just threw themselves on the floor. Inconsistency with bookings as per usual.Millennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 8:57 pmwhat did he do wrong all game?

While Koroma has rightly taken a lot of plaudits this season for his development and tearing up this league Happe has stepped up at an even younger age and acquitted himself brilliantly. If he does jump a few leagues over summer good luck to the guy, same as per our other star performers but hope we can hold onto them.

Couple of very minor things that I thought he got wrong, for both teams, but got all bookings right. Again, it helped that Braintree were a decent bunch.

If he was the best that says all you need to know about the standard of referees in this league. Glad to see the back of them, no more #tinpot for us

Re: Ratings v Braintree
Of course all O's fans are ecstatic after yesterday's outcome.
But the Scotsman (on previous page) is right.
about our needs. There have also been too many average and grind out results. We definitely need to strengthen as in a good creative midfielder and a striker as a minimum. Defence, I think will be ok. Division two is a different kettle of fish to the national league.

Also some harsh criticism of Brophy on here. Yeah his decision making could have been a lot better on the day but he never hid and Braintree looked at their most uncomfortable when he got on the ball. Didn't help that we conceded possession cheaply so often meaning we couldn't get him in the game as much.

Re: Ratings v Braintree
Just don’t think Brophy is cut out for that role. You need a more intelligent playmaker in there, presumably Jordan.
Brophy is better out wide where he can use his pace imo.

Re: Ratings v Braintree
Yes, Braintree may have looked uncomfortable when Brophy got the ball, but they didn't really have to worry, did they? Brophy is an exciting player when he goes on one of his runs, but the trouble is nothing comes of it. He flatters to deceive. No end product, except for a few free kicks. Saying that, I'm not averse to him coming into the side now and then.Millennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 10:58 amYep that. Re: Ratings v Braintree
I think Brophy has been playing out of position. He is IMO, an old fashioned left winger, and in that position he is dangerous to the opposition, but on the right, he has to cut back losing an advantage
Play him on the left wing

Re: Ratings v Braintree
I think you may be right coyo's. An orthodox left winger to get in as many crosses as he can. We would have to change the front pairing of Bonne and Koroma though.
