Carl was managing Argyle when Risdale was the owner. His win/loss record is a minor miracle under those circumstances.

Association with the Bournemouth set up is a good sign. Bound to have learned from Eddie Howe. My worry would be how well does he know the level?

Looks like my snout was wrong for the first time , Calderwood available at 8/1 , just can't see it being him , apparently the O's have tweeted the decision could surprise a lot of people , Adrian Whitbread was at the game today 🤔🤔

Would prefer carl fletcher from sky 1s dream team. He seemed to have a better win percentage.

I heard it was him too. Not my choice. However played as a pro over 400 times Bournemouth WH CP & Forest. Did well at Plymouth first season. Youth coach at Bournemouth over 5 years plus Wales international

The only thing in his favour is that he has spoken positively about having a DoF at Plymouth.

Also given his relative status he would have little bargaining power in retaining the current coaches.

Seems to me to be a gamble, but with promotion or relegation quite unlikely if we're gonna take one, now is the time.

Do not think he is worth a fee though, surely it'd be better to offer more money and get more managers applying.

Blimey just got in.
This has got to be the cheapest of cheap options if true.
I like to see how Kent is going to sell this when he does his man of the people tour.

Not even that. He had a reasonable record.
Where are all the idiots who were saying “ the owners will get the best available” crap.
What a bunch of mugs.

How to p*ss the fans off big time by appointing an unproven Manager whose last management job was years ago with a 24.3% win ratio.
The owners have completely lost the plot if they are making Carl Fletcher our new Manager.

There is no doubt about it , money is tight and to be honest, if that is the case then promote from within. This is a one big joke if true.

A bizarre employment if true, better keeping Ross until a real contender becomes available, in my eyes Jackett if he gets sacked at Portsmouth, Tim Flowers if the compensation was paid

He is on decent money at Bournemouth as a coach at a premier league club , probably be similar to a head coach in league 1 , so they must eiher be willing ro pay to match his current salary or he takes a wage cut.

Dont see the latter happening.

You throw around expressions like that over any old little thing. Why not wait and see what the reality is for once before spewing your usual crap and taking cheap shots at the team you allegedly support over things that may never happen?

Nothing to say then.
“Take their time and get the best”
Are you saying he is the best an ambitious club would have gone for?
