I doubt his criticism was a considered comment. As someone said previously Ross tends to get somewhat overemotional during games and this perhaps no exception.
The more telling point was that around the penalty taker. Players clearly taking no notice of his tactics and gameplan if they go off and do their own thing as soon as we get a spot kick. It happening once could be put down to miscommunication but twice is poor discipline.

Agree, I did pick that up but thought I was being a bit Picky. You do see it in matches, players seem to be arguing about who should take the kick. So not totally uncommon but Yes, this should have been sorted before the game. But on other occasions he has made comments that suggest to me players feel they can do their own thing at times. I suspect that's why all too often the organisation within the team looks fragile.
But water under the bridge. Saturday will likely be his last home game in charge, I hope the players finish his stint with a good win and he gets a decent ovation from the crowd. I believe he has done his best in a role he is not suited too and with a great degree of honesty and integrity. I for one will give him a cheer.

It’s funny how I have been castigated on here for expressing the same opinion on our erstwhile DOF for years but now it seems the penny has dropped for others.
Face facts -the situation involving Sam and Martin is farcical and for the players, must be uncomfortable and unsettling.
Ogie is a young kid who may or may not have a bright future . He apparently had a poor game in midweek and RE happened to comment on it - big deal. I’m sure the lad himself is fretting far less about this than the majority of people who have seen fit to contribute to this thread. Hopefully this is not to be a case of history repeating itself - Sandro Semedo and Frazer Shaw were touted by some as potentially long term solutions at left back and neither came through. I’m sure constructive criticism will not do any harm.

I guess you have never actually seen ogie play, and for the record he did not have a bad game, he was just unfortunate to give away a penalty, something that our more experienced defenders have done many times this season without suffering public criticism. If he felt it was a bad mistake by the lad, then he should have been constructive, showed him where he went wrong and how he should have positioned himself etc.
