Extinction Rebellion
Well done to the eco heroes for standing up to the man today. My journey time has been delayed, but so what. Hats off to the fellas.

Re: Extinction Rebellion
As much as I want to see the environment protected & everybody's carbon footprint lowered, I'm not sure this is the right way to go about it. Hundreds possibly thousands of vehicles stuck in traffic burning diesel & vandals using aerosols to graffiti buildings is bound to have an adverse effect.

Re: Extinction Rebellion
I hope they clear up after themselves this time. Mrs NES and I accidentally found ourselves walking through Parliament Sq and Millbank as the last demo was winding down. The mess left behind was huge and included many discarded placards. I’d have more sympathy if they cleared up after themselves

They should just carry on doing all the other stuff they’ve been doing for the past 30/40 years, cos that’s been so successful.

They're awfully noisy too. It's almost like they have never heard of noise pollution which might be because they are overly focused on the climate.EliotNes wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 7:22 am I hope they clear up after themselves this time. Re: Extinction Rebellion
Our Prine Minister has called them uncooperative crusties. That’s the words of our Prime Minister.

Re: Extinction Rebellion
Never heard that before.
I also like the massive 4x4s with the massive open boot that used to be the preserve of the builder but have been adopted by any consultant or manager that has ever had to drive onto or near a construction site. You know the ones, they've got names like the Toyota Thundercunt or the Mitsubishi Massivecock.
By the way, I'm guessing not many of them. If you're bothered enough about the climate and environment to glue yourself to the undercarriage of an artic, you're probably not going to be driving a wankpanzer, I'd guess.

Now the filth are cutting up the eco-heroes tents with scissors. What is the country coming to when plod treat the issue like a giant origami project.

Re: Extinction Rebellion
Origami is paper folding not cutting, you fool. Kirigami is paper cutting and folding, paper cutting is just paper cutting. Anyway, seeing as paper is clearly a terrible choice of material for a tent your whole point is nonsense.Disoriented wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 8:30 pm Now the filth are cutting up the eco-heroes tents with scissors. In this neck of the woods they are the favoured vehicle of the travelling community, wonder if those dickheads you mention realise that.RedO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 5:05 pm Never heard that before.![]()

Whether you agree with his opianion or not (you're wrong if you do, obviously), our Prime Minister should not be using such language.

It is characters like you who ER are trying to save from themselves.
Show some gratitude rather than being an ignoramus.

Re: Extinction Rebellion
One of their ladies was on the Andrew Neil Show tonight. She was pathetically inept. Neil made mincemeat of her and he wasn't really trying. I think he may have a little sympathy for their cause. But she came across as a raving idiot, with no real facts at her fingertips.
