Re: Northampton (A) Match / Exiles Thread
makes no sense having Wilko out wide so I'm guessing its a midfield diamond. Clay at the base, Wright and Gorman either side and Brophy at the tip. Harrold and Wilko up top.
The downside is that our only width is what Ling and Widdowson can provide.

He's the only player we have who can be an effective target man. It's looking like Wilkinson prefers to be the one getting the knock downs rather than doing the donkey work so can see why Ross is trying the pairing as they worked well second half last week.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 2:23 pmNo, I think Marsh was on for the whole 90 minutes . We all know Harrold is a good impact sub but he can't last the whole game .
Brophy roaming as part of 3 upfront is a bit of a gamble but without a suitable pairing who can run CM in a 4-4-2 it's all we can do when we need 3 in the middle to keep it tight.
Another day another formation, let's hope this one does the business. At least it's not 5-3-2 again.

Maybe this is one that Calderwood (or Nugent) asked us to try?gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 2:54 pmHe's the only player we have who can be an effective target man. What ? What's wrong with bringing on Judd . You know, a proper RB. We're going to lose this game.

We didn't have much width at the start of the game, now we're into negative numbers.

Not in the squad, wasn't he injured a few weeks back without even playing a game?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 3:14 pmWhat ? What's wrong with bringing on Judd . You know, a proper RB. We're going to lose this game.

Gorman was lucky just to get a yellow and then goes on to jump with his arm up and then grab some guy's shirt. Not too bright is he?

No. Maybe he should just try and concentrate on playing football rather than trying to get himself sent off .

Has Marv gone to right back or have we gone three at the back with Clay on the right?
