How many more boring Brexit threads?

WTO 'rules' are just a loose minimum framework, nothing like the comprehensive free trade agreement we have with the EU, and by extension all of the third party countries which have agreed deals with the EU now. All of that goes out of the window.Still's Carenae wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 8:53 am What are you lot like?
We do not leave with no deal, we leave on wto rules. This will only mean problems if forms are not filled out properly. It is not in Europe's interest to cause to many problems, otherwise our companies will obtain there goods from elsewhere, or the ports that are causingt he problems are changed( the dutch and Belgium ports has spare capacity if need be).
With the world now starting to look seriously as if going into recession, as per Sweden's disastrous figures yesterday, now is not the time to play games.
Jfi - Sweden is seen as a bellwether for the world economy as it has the most open trade economy in the world.
Whatever happens, the EU is in trouble financially and recession will bring lots of issues to a head.

You forgot to deal with the tripe about the EU being in trouble financially because if they are so will we be.o-no wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 1:40 pmWTO 'rules' are just a loose minimum framework, nothing like the comprehensive free trade agreement we have with the EU, and by extension all of the third party countries which have agreed deals with the EU now. You shouldn't take it so personally. We're not where we are because of personality defects in our politicians although they don't help.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 2:07 pm Whatever the outcome the politicians from all parties elected will carry on getting paid - they love the attention and the pampering of their own egos be it in parliament or in the media
All this prolonged debate and posturing by them is a typical British failure of the style they have developed.
They are a total disgrace with reckless behaviour that would get most people fired from their employment.

Re: If We Crash Out Over The Cliff
On 22 June 1941, the European Axis powers launched an invasion of the Soviet Union, opening the largest land theatre of war in history. This Eastern Front trapped the Axis, most crucially the German Wehrmacht, in a war of attrition. In December 1941
Why would anyone think it was Bitterness ?
The lack of acceptance of others huge part in the war , in the uk
Is quite frankly shameful. Yes The uk played a major role ,
But the battle between germany & the ussr
Is as important as the somme would be viewed here.
It may not be the most famous battle, But certainly the most important

Re: If We Crash Out Over The Cliff
Half a million British deaths. a decade of grim post-war reconstruction. The end of our status as a global superpower. Within a generation, the Germans were doing better than us economically.
"absolutely fine"

Re: If We Crash Out Over The Cliff
So why did Greyhound bring the war into it ?
Was he trying to compare Britain & the Eu to britain & the allies v the european axis ?
Very poor stance if its not war as you say

Re: If We Crash Out Over The Cliff
As the active thread, thought i’d put this article about the language of brexit here.
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... ic-keep-up
There’s even a few new insults (to me, anyway) in there for both sides to use. I also see FUD gets a mention. I’m not sure the definition shown here is exactly what Maxy Boy has in mind when he’s digging out an IMBECILE.
