Colin Calderwood the current fav but no idea why as he only signed a contract extension at Cambridge days ago.

Yeah, I just read that. Does seem a little strange.
Noticed Nolan has gone out to 9/1 now.

Cambridge Utd describe O’s move in relation to Colin Calderwood as “ a non- story”.

1st & 2nd choice both in jobs so are probably not possible at this moment in time, but if possible I would snap either up!
Chris Powell
Yes please, but one of Southgate team.
Kenny Jackett
Defo, but still Pompey manager
Phil Parkinson
Top Manager who is out of work, get him in the building.
Dave Challinor
Good manager, total class & respect for him in his interview describing JE,
Steve Cotterill
Good manager with lower league experience
Kevin Nolan
Not sure he would be a popular choice, but the guy has a good record and I’m sure he would do a job.

But in IMO it won’t be any of the above, Darren Currie is Fav, but wouldn’t be surprised to see the club go for old Nugent or for big name in Sol Campbell.
Given that, in my view, experience, decent track record and immediate availability are the main priorities I would opt for Phil Parkinson or Steve Cotterill. Unfortunately I doubt either will throw their hat in the ring.

Phil Parkinson would be ideal, very similar to Justin I would imagine. Not sure it will happen though.

Cambridge deny Calderwood interest but he is now showing as 1/3 on in the betting from 1/2. Strange

If he had any sense he would have got a buyout clause in his contract. If we want him it will cost us but perhaps worth it, just to stay in League 2.

Interesting seeing the odds shorten.
