Another late goal.
As I predicted a few comments ago, e.g ''Just hope we do not do the usual as of late and concede a goal in the dying minutes !''

Absolutely diabolical, Embleton has to be replaced immediately from choosing the team and the tactics.

I solely blame Ross. He picks this pointless formation and his negative approach feeds through to the players. Clueless as a manager.

If anything he's lucky the players dig out a performance once freed from the shackles to get games back in the second half.
A pointless formation that JE started to pick last year and you didn't complain then. The step up is just to great for the majority of players.
How.many.more.times

JE used it to see us over the line, to protect what we had due to injuries and no other options with a decimated CM.

It is *not* the formation you use to go out and win games. Especially when you can't organise a defence for toffee.

You don't put 8 at the back when you go 1-0 up at home. Second half performance when we've gone out and attacked shows that in a nutshell.

Harrold MOTM for his contribution, again should've been utilised weeks ago.
How many more times !!! 🤡

Not going to happen. Ling has already confirmed that the incoming manager will have to make do with the existing coaching set up.

I said we'd get one last chance in stoppage time. Wright takes it with a header 3-3

Wilkinson lines up another from distance, Vale keeper scrambles to make the save. Corner...

FT well that was eventful. Players all out on the floor from both sides.

One for the stattos, when did we last have a CM as our top scorer? Wright just pips Harrold for MOTM with that goal.

So much for the many on here who dismiss Wright as nothing more than a sideways passer of the ball !

That’ll do for now (the bottom 3 all picked up a point as well, I think). Whether a new gaffer can squeeze better out of this squad, or we’ll need some upgrades in various positions, only time will tell.

Thank god Stevenage and Scunthorpe threw away leads.

We have enough attacking talent to get a few goals. We have scored more goals than 1st place Exeter this season.
Problem is we just look like giving away goals every game, and that is what counts. Worst defence in the League and it seems that all the keeper and full-back places in the team are nailed down.

Think the way we decided to set up cost us the game in the end, it was winnable but we surrendered the initiative in the first half.

Thank god a new manager is on the way but can't afford to get it wrong.

If it is a good manager I think it will be a bit of both. I still think the majority of the players are not up to this league.

I'd say there's room for being better organised and disciplined but I believe we have too many individuals with key weaknesses to get very far.

Yippeeeeeeee. A draw at home against a modest team. What’s not to be happy with. And we scored 3.

Alternatively what a load of rubbish.

You choose

Absolutely this. As soon as they're freed from the negative tactics we seem to have enough to get some goals. Leaking them for fun at the back though needs sorting asap.

I hope a new manager will come in with a fresh look at the available players and give NO players a guaranteed place as it seems at the moment.
All in all, a good shake up needed. Also unless Brill gets more consistent, a new and better keeper needed.

I still think that RE was the worst choice of the 3 who could have stepped in as interim manager ( Jobi perhaps ruled out as not yet completed his coaching badges ) Danny Webb, far more inspiring a choice than Ross.
