He is a proven Liar though. You cant deny that.Thor wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 10:29 pmHe hasn’t been accused of lying, that point wasn’t proven.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 10:09 pm Im old enough to remember the Profumo affair.
john Profumo was the Tory war minister, but had an affair with Christine Keeler, and denied it in parliament, but later resigned because he lied, and was an Honorable man
How things have changed. Of course Johnson should resign, but as he hasnt a shred of honour, or decency, I dont expect he will

I used to have a dog like you. It was faithful to the last. It didn't matter what you did the mutt would always be faithful and show you unconditional love. I wonder what made me think of that?

£350,000,000 per week to the NHS! Was this not a lie? Parliament will not be prorogued! Was this not a lie!BoniO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:08 pmI used to have a dog like you. Yes I think a lot of brexiteers think that any deal negotiated will just be put down until they get fed up and just say bugger it lets not leave at all.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 8:15 pmWe heard you the 1st time. But as was pointed out No Deal Brexit has to be off the table and an extension to the deadline in place before a GE.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 7:30 pmThat’s your opinion but he has to, he’s got no choice. Again I say, we need a General Election.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 7:25 pm
Boris is not to be trusted to abide but it, albeit that he says he will abide by the law.

Re: Should Boris resign?
Its the Brexstremists who are driving that thinking. Many leave voters who are now aware of the damage Brexit will cause would probably now vote remain.
That is why it is important to have a second referendum and not let the MPs make the decision to abandon Brexit in the way you suggest.
The result of that vote will be to remain and the matter can be put to bed and we can get on with addressing the constitutional, economic and material concerns of the nations. They have been ignored for too long.

The £350,000,000 was not a lie as proven in a court of law. As for all the other lying , well he has lied in the past. Didn’t he get sacked from a newspaper for lying. ( I can’t remember which newspaper it was )

Re: Should Boris resign?
Whilst I agree with your last paragraph, you are entirely wrong on the brexiteer people. More remainers want out now and thus leave would have an even bigger win. But hold on, let's have the first one respected first.
Let's have a general election, the tories want to exit the eu, labour want to remain as do the libs, let the people decide. I'm telling you now the people will vote in the tories in massive numbers, hence why corbyn won't agree to fight one as he is sh*tting himself the old fool.
Boris maybe be a nut job but he wants out as do the majority of people, the quicker we get out the quicker we can get on with building an economy which can thrive outside of the eu federal state.

Re: Should Boris resign?
It’s a bizarre situation where remainers in parliament are trying to stop no deal before an election because they know the most popular party is likely to be the one that wants no deal. It’s the opposite of democracy. Actually mental.

Re: Should Boris resign?
Remainer (and the non suicidal Leaver) MPs don't want an election now to prevent Boris allowing No Deal to go through unchallenged.
This really isn't difficult stuff.

Re: Should Boris resign?
I suspect Labour are gambling that, if Boris fails to deliver ever a no-deal Brexit by 31st October, his ratings will take a hit. Also, the more time they can keep him in the spotlight the more opportunity for his liberal tendencies to be exposed. He'll find it increasingly more difficult to play the anti-establishment card too. As a strategy, it's about as good a one as labour could come up with given Corbyn's ratings.
I still reckon that the most likely outcome of a general election is another hung parliament. As much as I hate to say it, I'm beginning to think that another referendum may be the only way out of all of this. And I really don't want one as it will be insufferable. However, if there is one, I wouldn't' bet against leave winning again. Remainers are being far too sure of a referendum delivering a different outcome. However, if a STV is utilised, then I could see us voting to leave on a 'deal'.

Re the 1st one...He nor the bus said they would give £350m to the NHS....and in any event until we have left the EU any money is not available as it's going to the EU at present.
Boris i think didn't say he wouldn't prorogue Parliament.
Both were very cleverly/ weasily worded statements, but he didn't lie on these.

My contention is supported by recent polling. Which makes both of you look more IMBECILIC than usual. Nice one.

Why are you wasting time arguing that a proven serial LIAR may not have told a lie?spen666 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 4:11 pmRe the 1st one...He nor the bus said they would give £350m to the NHS....and in any event until we have left the EU any money is not available as it's going to the EU at present.

You seem to be a bigger idiot than I thought. Do you not get it - the prorogation was ILLEGAL. He lied to the Queen - his reasons were not true. The Supreme Court found this unanimously.
How much proof do you want?
