Angol injury

Re: Angol injury
TBH it wouldn't have mattered much would it.
I would be their game plan was based on our defensive weaknesses.

Grade 3 - club officially saying at least a month but I’d be surprised if he contributed much before January. Huge blow and as others have said, our depth is next to nothing.
At least a bit of foresight couldn’t have predicted this

You could get away with thin squads when loans could come in as required but with the restrictive window now it's absolutely crazy to go into a season with such a thin squad in key areas.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 3:53 pm Grade 3 - club officially saying at least a month but I’d be surprised if he contributed much before January. Still love to know if this "top 8 budget" refers to solely player wages or staffing costs more widely as something doesn't add up when you look at the bench today.

Remind me, is grade 3 the least or most serious?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 3:53 pm Grade 3 - club officially saying at least a month but I’d be surprised if he contributed much before January. Huge blow and as others have said, our depth is next to nothing.

Re: Angol injury
The most serious.
A month seems quite optimistic, just gotta hope we do not have to rush him back in.
I'd go for a free-transfer to help out, there must be a suitable one out there somewhere. Alabi and Harrold have no future here after this season, perhaps time to start easing them towards the exit door.

We have a backroom team a mile long with several triple word job titles.

Some proper scaremongering going on today. Fella next to me was spouting that he was out for the season.

The 2-3 month period was doing the rounds before today but again another example of the club staying quiet for too long leaves rumour to fill the void.Tent Keague wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:29 pm Some proper scaremongering going on today. Can only hope the transfer window opens before any temptation to rush him back.

There was no harm in the club not releasing any news about this before the game to aid Colchester's preparation. So what if it didn't ultimately effect the result?
They have now released info and you continue to act like that because the news is not to your liking. Whereas the scaremongers views does fit your pants sh*tting style.

I'd already heard it was 2 months the other day so wasn't surprised. We are however, screwed now he's out.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:16 pmHonestly, stop being a willy about this.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:40 pmThe 2-3 month period was doing the rounds before today but again another example of the club staying quiet for too long leaves rumour to fill the void.Tent Keague wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:29 pm Some proper scaremongering going on today. 21st in the table and dropping with each passing game, doesn't look good does it?

No, not really. And it's going to be a bleak next month or two for sure. Got to hope we can pick up the odd win here and there and not go on a big winless streak.

Re: Angol injury
We're not screwed at all because of this. Wilkinson played well.
We're screwed because the management haven't got the know how to give him the ball in the opposition box. Preferably on his head. Preferably from a cross. Preferably after a winger has got to the byline and cut it back.
We're screwed because we brought on strikers after we took our three wingers off.

Re: Angol injury
Really surprised that this is a Grade 3 tear. When he went off he was barely limping and it didn’t look too bad at all. I tore my hamstring playing tennis back in March and I could barely walk at all yet that was diagnosed as a Grade 2 year.

Re: Angol injury
Who are these wingers we possess? In the thread over the road only Brophy is classed as one. Are JMD and Dennis truly wide players or are they attacking midfielders? Seems Ross doesn't know as he keeps swapping the shape around week by week.Tent Keague wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:51 pm We're not screwed at all because of this. Wilkinson played well.

Where is this crossing ability as Brophy doesn't have it. Even in the best case scenario we're now pinning our hopes from now until the end of the year on one man who hasn't exactly looked prolific thus far.
Look at the striker we brought on from the bench, if the answer is Alabi what the hell is the question

This is the problem with our set-up. Nobody knows what position players should be playing.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 8:19 pmWho are these wingers we possess? I don't know what position JMD plays.
