You have me confused with a Labour supporter. Out of the parties on offer I'd still rather have them than anyone else but that's hardly a ringing endorsement. The Labour Party is not a force for progress in my opinion but there are significantly more sincere humanitarians in the Labour party than there are in the other parties. The Tory party, for example, seems to consist entirely of sociopaths.Millennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 2:35 pm Yeah I mean it's not like nice and genuine progressive people in the Labour party ever simply hand wave away issues in the party as though it's an anomaly that they can disown

Like it or not, Corbyn and co. are going to have to do a deal with big Jo.
Neither Labour or the Nasty Party is going to win a majority.

It won’t catch on fella - not catchy enough.
By the way, which part of the Tories is democratic? If Johnson and his fascist mates had have voted for the deal, we would have left by now.

Re: Lib Dem Watch
The Lib Dumbs more like !!
What was it that David Steel said all those years ago " Return to your Constituencies and prepare for Government".....that went well, if I remember correctly !!
It is quite on the cards that in any future general election, Jo Swinson may well lose her parliamentary seat in East Dunbartonshire to the SNP, she lost it in the 2015 election but regained it in 2017 with a lead of 5,339 votes over the SNP candidate, may not be so lucky next time !
As to all the new MP recruits who have joined the ''Lib Dumbs'' from the Conservatives and Labour parties, few if any will be elected in the next general election.

Jo Swinson's mates in the media can't cover for her indefinitely. She's being found out already.

Unfortunately, the first time I heard Swinson speak, she lied. Definitely not one to trust.

Re: Lib Dem Watch
Lets face it we are talking about politicians here, lying is in the job description as is abusing the parliamentary system. "Cheating rules OK" should be printed on their letterheads. Every time one appears on TV there should be a scrolling caption stating " THIS PERSON WILL SAY ANYTHING, NO MATTER HOW ABSURD OR UNTRUE, TO GAIN POWER"

I liked Paddy Ashdown. Before entering politics he had served as a Royal Marine and Special Boat Service officer and also as an intelligence officer in the UK security services. Not a career politician as so many seem to be now, he had seen the world and its problems in real life.greyhound wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 8:31 am https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/video ... yfp-t&tt=b

Good sense of humour as well, well liked by many regardless of what their politics were. A real leader and yes, wonder what Jo Swinson would say if shown this video ?
