Re: New Orient manager sweepstakes
Honestly, I think the club should do one or the other of the following:
a) Get an experienced manager/coach in, a number 2, who Ross can rely on and can be advised by.
b) Get an experienced manager in and put Ross back to number 2.
c) Get rid of the interim title and basically say to Ross, you have the season. With one relegation place, its unlikely we go down, and I think the board will be happy with mid-bottom half finish. Give him the full title, tell him they have faith in him. If it doesn't work out he goes back to number 2.
Theres absolutely not benefit for anyone carrying on as we are. Number of games, or who they are against is irrelevant. I do think we will struggle to win any of the next 4 though.

But as much as i dont think Ross is the man long term, I'd prefer option C to what we have today. Everyone, including Ross, is in Limbo.

Re: New Orient manager sweepstakes
When Ross goes, or indeed if he goes, will have a lot to do with if the owners feel he still has the full support of the players.
I dont feel he has lost the dressing room at the moment, but im not sure the players have a lot of faith in him either.
He wont be going anywhere for a few more games at least, and he could well be given the whole season, seeing as only one team go down.
Unlike when the board removed Davis, this wont cost them anything
For me..Id give him around 4 more games, then bring someone else in, if we havent improved

What has that got to do with anything? This coming from the boarder who did more than anyone to hound Hendon out.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 4:20 pmDid you not read Josh Coulson's interview in the programme last week ?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 4:18 pm When Ross goes, or indeed if he goes, will have a lot to do with if the owners feel he still has the full support of the players.

As long as Os are not at the bottom. If Os win at least one of next three home games, nothing will change this year. Managers tend to survive if they keep the homers happy.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 1:56 pm After what game will the board decide enough is enough?

Re: New Orient manager sweepstakes
I wouldn't be at all surprised if K&T had already agreed a target with Ross in advance of his appointment. They're too shrewd to give someone the title 'Interim' without agreeing a point at which it will be reviewed. I can't see that being before December unless we are propping up the table.

Why listen to what the club captain has to say, when you can make up your own poisonous assumptions.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 4:20 pmDid you not read Josh Coulson's interview in the programme last week ?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 4:18 pm When Ross goes, or indeed if he goes, will have a lot to do with if the owners feel he still has the full support of the players.
