Are they? More are seeing the mess that Brexiteers are making of our great nation and seeing the Tory right wingers for what they are - liars and incompetents. I mean, lying to the Queen. You approve of that?greyhound wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:10 pmProposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:00 pmSo basically you voted remain, you know remaining is the sensible thing to do and to do otherwise will cause immeasurable damage but if there's another vote you'll vote to leave because otherwise some people will be cross? Well, they're not really. Mikero may be but no polling that I'm aware of shows Leave gaining, in fact quite the opposite. Happy for you to point me in the direction of any other reports that suggest otherwise.

If there is to be a second vote then I'd be more worried, if I were you, by the young turning out in numbers. Because if they do, and I'm sure they would, then Leave would just be a bad dream. That's democracy for you!greyhound wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:10 pmProposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:00 pmSo basically you voted remain, you know remaining is the sensible thing to do and to do otherwise will cause immeasurable damage but if there's another vote you'll vote to leave because otherwise some people will be cross? Agree, I'd say it's almost a given that if we do leave, we will rejoin within most of our lifetimes - just on worse terms and with our tails between our legs.

I am old enough to say. I hope we do leave. That will teach the Brexiteers a lesson or two. Me I am on my last legs anyway. Nothing like telling people " I told you so," on the way out!

No doubt, the post was in relation to the disruption of the flow of goods through Dover thoughBoniO wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 3:11 pmNo it isn't. There is a mention that severe traffic issues through the channel may last up to 6 months. That is an estimate only and is not even the worst case scenario. The other negative impacts of a No Deal scenario are not time defined at all. They could go on for much, much longer so your premise of coming "out of the woods" after 6 months is, quite frankly, bunkum.

They voted to have a referendum & voted to trigger Article 50.
Cameron should have at least have a contingency plan should the result go the way it did. Just another case how Westminster fail to judge public opinion & they are still doing it now trying to put obstacles in the way.
There position has never changed.

Re: Operation Yellowhamer
My point was that the only way the country will ever come back together is to leave and let the consequences convince people that they were better off in the EU than out of it. A vote to remain now will only extend the divisions for another decade or more, better then to take the hit now, make sure the architects of the whole mess are thoughly discredited and Farage is parked in a pub somewhere and never appears in the media again.

The only problem with your thesis Mikero is sometime after going over the cliff edge and it is apparent Operation Fear is in fact, a fact; these nasty xenophobic Right Wingers will blame immigrants, Lefties anyone else who get in their way & the eejits who voted for this mess, will believe them
