Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
We have had the same seats in the East Stand for many years, except for a short time when Barry Hearn delegated the entire stand to visiting supporters for selected matches. This season we decided to move to new seats in the East Stand with an uninterrupted view.
Unfortunately near our new position there is a man with a very loud voice who spends the entire game berating the "Lino" as he calls him.
He follows each insult with "Good man".
I realise it's all part of the football experience but nevertheless annoying.
Perhaps another move may be necessary for next season.

Re: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
No matter where you sit there are annoying people. We have a fella near us who spends the game constantly shouting "Come On Josh/Dan/Marvin/Clay/Joe/Lingy/Lee..." (delete as applicable) whenever they get the ball, no matter where they get it on the pitch.Forty-Niner wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 1:04 pm

Berating the linesman is something I do from time to time, but it can't be me as I don't say "good man" and I wasn't there on Saturday.

Re: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
Last time I was at Orient I was getting annoyed at this lone individual shouting out support for Orient. Now that I am getting older and a bit more infirm. I just watch the scores on BBC red button & silently sigh. I do get a few dirty looks from my dog, from time to time.

You need to download Fotmob or something similar.West Side Story wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 2:24 pm Last time I was at Orient I was getting annoyed at this lone individual shouting out support for Orient. There are some interesting individuals around me in the North. One particularly loud bloke who seems to only know the word 'FORWARDS' and the 'change it' father and son duo.

Re: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
I think this fella used to sit in the TJS. His knowledge of football is equal to my in-depth knowledge of Mandarin Chinese grammar. He used to proper give it out to under-performing players, until one day Sean Clohessy came over at HT, called him a c***, and told him to button it or he'd kick the s*** out of him outside.
He was remarkably quieter after that.

So you are one of the TJS plonkers braying at all and sundry and hurling abuse at the opposition supporters - part of the GOTF (Geriatric OTF).point nine one eight wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 1:35 pmYou lucky sod, I sit in the South Stand and we got no lino to abuse, some of the goalies are good for a laughForty-Niner wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 1:04 pm We have had the same seats in the East Stand for many years, except for a short time when Barry Hearn delegated the entire stand to visiting supporters for selected matches. Re: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
Yep good fun, not all and sundry mainly the keepers, funnily enough I don't bother with the away supporters or bite back when they try and have a pop at us, some of the humour is clever, at the end of the day they're just supporters following there team, just like us. After the game smile and wish them a safe journey home, smiles works wonders.Disoriented wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 8:07 pmSo you are one of the TJS plonkers braying at all and sundry and hurling abuse at the opposition supporters - part of the GOTF (Geriatric OTF).point nine one eight wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 1:35 pmYou lucky sod, I sit in the South Stand and we got no lino to abuse, some of the goalies are good for a laughForty-Niner wrote: โMon Sep 09, 2019 1:04 pm We have had the same seats in the East Stand for many years, except for a short time when Barry Hearn delegated the entire stand to visiting supporters for selected matches. Re: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
I used to be one of those annoying / swearing buggers in the East Stand but since I have moved in to the Gallery, I now know that you have to keep quiet in what is essentially a library atmosphere.
