Re: League 1 play off preview
I quite like people not tipping us, most of these types had us down at 14th -22nd before the start of the season
Be just the thing to blow the Little Leyton Orient tag away once & for all by getting promoted

This is broadly true, but NTT20 is one of the better onesThe Mindsweep wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 9:37 am Loads of these online, never learn anything from any of them

Even if we get promoted, this will not make us a big club. We spent all the 1970s in the old second division, but we were still Little Leyton Orient (not sure when we dropped the "Leyton"). We are little Leyton Orient because we are in London and are surrounded by big clubs.Bandy Legs wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 9:34 am I quite like people not tipping us, most of these types had us down at 14th -22nd before the start of the season

We were Orient. I was amongst the 30,000 at The Villa game in 74, I was at The Chelsea cup games 25,000+
Middlesborough 18,000 +++ .
In a 30,000+ capacity stadium we you think we were luttle?

2,500 going to Huddersfield last weekend shows things are changing.bobo66 wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 10:42 amEven if we get promoted, this will not make us a big club. I was at those games too. As always, we were always underdogs. I remember when we played Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup semi final . We were referred to by Brian Moore as the "poor old Os".

Re: League 1 play off preview
Not sure that's the reason. We have been badly run for decades until the current regime took over and football economics have changed a lot since the 70s.bobo66 wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 10:42 amEven if we get promoted, this will not make us a big club. I do, Stamford Bridge and two OG's, never really in it which was a shame after such a good run.
