Indeed, that's why he's on the list further down that article of 3rd year scholars. Show's how far he's come in a short space of time.

There were some that said we could get our way out of the NL with the kids amongst that lot as the nucleus. Judd and Koroma have played the most games out the lot of them. God knows what happened to Abrahams (swallowed up by a bigger system?) but only Alzate and Dalby stand a (small) chance of making it with league clubs and arguably may have fared better staying with us. The best prospect of the lot is still with us. 20 yards or 30 yards.......
I Googled ( what else ! ) and found the following.....Firstly Tristran Abrahams....''The 20-year-old is out of contract at Norwich this summer, although there is the option of a further year in his contract.'' This season, first he went on loan at Exeter and then joined Yeovil on loan in January 2019.

Steven Alzate. Left the Os to join Brighton and this season went to League Two side Swindon Town on a season-long loan. His first goal for the club came on 22 September, against Yeovil Town, when he scored with a 20-yard strike. On 1 January 2019, Alzate was ruled out for at least three months after he was diagnosed with a stress fracture to his back. The loan deal expired on 9 January, and Alzate returned to Brighton. Alzate has impressed at Brighton and in November 2018 ( pre his back injury ) signed a new three-year contract with the club until June 2021. Hope for Steven that he makes a full and complete recovery from his back injury.

Lastly Sam Dalby. Seems like Sam is well rated at Leeds Utd who he joined in January 2018 on a two and a half year contract. On 31 January 2019, Dalby joined League Two side Morecambe F.C. on a 6 month loan. He made his debut for them on 9 February in a 2-3 defeat against Bury.

Really puts it into perspective.

Imagine if we'd had kept hold of alzate too.

Think most people have been keeping tabs and are aware of the apparent lack of progress all 3 have made.

Compare and contrast to Josh Koroma......

If Abrahams is released would we have him back?
I'd take a punt.

Well as to ''the apparent lack of progress all 3 have made.''
Brighton have praised Alzate for his form whilst on loan at Swindon and have given him a new and extended contract.

Leeds Utd seem quite happy with the progress that Dalby is making. Dalby by the way has bulked up a lot in recent pictures I have seen of him.

As to Tristan Abrahams, well at the time of leaving the Os, was not rated as highly as Sam and Steven but still managed to get a contract with Norwich City, has played whilst on loan for two division two sides this season, so he MIGHT be looking for a new club for next season.

So on the whole, Sam and Steven doing ok, just Tristan needs to improve.

Well Abrahams has been playing in division two this season, so getting experience of playing at that level.
Perhaps if he is free and wants to come back, might be worth giving a trial to.

Dalby went out on loan to f*cking Morecambe and got what was it, 2 sub appearances, before being sent back?

Tristan was ahead of everyone at the time he went. He sat on the bench at Exeter, they didn't keep him on, he's now sitting on the bench at Yeovil of all places.

Meanwhile, Josh Koroma is arguably the hottest prospect in NL having had 2 full seasons (ish) with us.

I'm not criticising the boys for taking the money on offer, just saying that sometimes sticking around and playing football is better for your longer term development.

I remember watching most of these boys playing at Luton as we were trying to stave off relegation. They played well and we were unlucky to draw 2-2.

That was an excellent performance. The likes of Koroma, Abrahams and Alzate playing around the excellent Collins and Kelly in the middle was a joy to watch. The two experienced players gave the rest the chance to just go and play.

Shame that we were unable to sign Collins when the new owners came in, he could have still done a job for us. Kelly had an unlucky time whilst with us, injuries and suspensions did for him and his not being in the team helped contribute to our relegation. Still on the bright side, getting relegated help us to get rid of the Italian and make a new start. if we had not gone down, he might have kept clinging onto his ownership of the club.

Good point, and one I hope our management are able to persuade Bonne, Koroma et al of during the summer. Staying and playing in a winning team, with a tilt at another promotion may well be better for both in the long run

If we go up I fully expect the likes of Bonne,Koroma et al to stay for a least another year and see out their contracts if nothing else.
